Montre.
Watch. The present invention relates to a watch having a dust cover glass in which the movement is kept fixed axially and laterally; this watch is charac terized in that the bezel and said dust-proof glass are assembled in a sealed manner.
The accompanying drawing represents, at. As examples, two embodiments of the watch according to the invention.
Fig. 1 is a partial axial section of the first embodiment, and the. fig. 2 is a similar section of the second embodiment. In fig. 1 and 2 of the drawing, 1 designates the htnette-casure which is assembled to notch in 2 at the bottom 3 of the case. watch. The watch glass and dust cover came from 4 one-piece manufacturing which we will refer to as dust cover glass.
A groove 5 provided in said dust cover glass allows the movement 6 to be fixed by means of screws 7 with eccentric heads forming a stop to support the movement axially. A bearing 8 of the movement 6 retains it laterally inside the dust cover glass 4, an edge 9 of which rests resiliently on the domed dial 7.0 so as to wedge the movement, inside the dust-proof glass 4 .
A split ring 11, of resilient metal, <preferably steel, is introduced with rubbing fat in a cylindrical recess 12 limited by a projection 13 which the dust cover glass 4 has in its lower part.
The pressure in the axial direction, due to the notch assembly 2 of the bezel-middle part 1 at the back 3, is used to press against each other the juxtaposed surfaces of three watertight connections that the case presents, to namely those of the bezel-middle and back, those of the bezel-middle and the dust cover glass and those of the projection 13 of the dust cover glass and the back 3.
In the first embodiment (FIG. 1), the contacting surfaces 14, 15 of the bezel-middle part 1 and of the dust-cover glass 4 are plane and annular. A sealing bead 16 is placed in a groove 17 of semicircular section which is made in one of said surfaces, here surface 15.
A similar sealing bead 18 is placed in a groove 19 made in the bezel-middle part 1, the corresponding edge of the other part, therefore of the bottom 3, being rounded to avoid injury to the sealing bead 18 which 'she squeezes.
The split ring 11, introduced into the cylindrical recess 12, makes it possible to obtain an approximately constant peripheral bearing pressure of the projection 13 on the bottom 3.
The second embodiment, shown in FIG. 2, differs from the first in the following details: The surfaces 20, 21 of the bezel-middle 1 and of the dust-cover glass 4, juxtaposed and clamped against each other by the pressure in the axial direction of the assembly at, notch <B> '</B> of the bezel-middle part 1. at the bottom 3, are. conical instead of being plane. A sealing bead is not provided, but could be, just as one can. possibly do without the 1.6 cord of the first example.
The sealing bead 22 provided between the bezel-middle and l_. the bottom 3 is placed in a groove 23 made in one of the flat surfaces and. annulars 24, 25 of the bezel-case and of the back, here in the surface 24.
The sealing cords 1.6, 18 of the first embodiment and 22 of the second embodiment are preferably made of rubber and exert pressure on the surface juxtaposed to that which has the. throat in which the cord is placed.
In both embodiments, water, humidity or dust which accidentally has entered the space 26 surrounding the projection 13 is prevented from entering the space which contains the movement. of the. watch. .
