Device for controlling a spindle of a bobbin lace machine In machines for making bobbin lace, the spindle must be rotated intermittently and immobilized after having made a half-turn. Known control devices used for this purpose are always disposed outside the assembly consisting of a drive wheel and a spindle base and they are therefore bulky, complicated and easily subject to change. damaged.
The object of the invention is a device for controlling a spindle of a machine for bobbin lace, a device which eliminates these drawbacks by the fact that a member which controls the clutch between a drive wheel and a base carries -spindle is mounted inside a support of said wheel.
The attached drawing shows, by way of example, two embodiments of the device according to the invention.
Fig. 1 is an elevational view, with parts in section, of the first embodiment.
Fig. 2 shows in elevation, with parts in section, the second embodiment. The device of the fie. 1 is mounted as a whole on a plate 1 of a machine for bobbin lace not shown. This device comprises a tubular support 2 closed at the bottom by a cap 2 'and on which is mounted a toothed wheel 3 intended to be rotated continuously in any known manner. The wheel 3 is extended into a hub 4 provided with a groove 5 near its upper end and the end collar of which has, at its periphery, two diametrically opposed notches 6.
A pivot 7, integral with the tubular support 2 carries a base 8 on it which supports a spindle (not shown) and which extends, below, into a hub 9 provided with diametrically opposed notches 10. The clutch is completed by a member which, under the action of the. control, intermittently couples toothed wheel 3 with base 8.
This member is formed by a ring 11 with two diametrically opposed internal teeth 12 which can: engage in the notches 10 of the hub of the base 8 and., In the disengaged position, in notches 13 formed in the edge upper of the tubular support 2. The ring 11 is also provided, on the same diameter where the internal teeth 12 are formed, with two appendages 14 each with an internal tooth 15 which penetrates into the groove 5 of the hub 4 of the toothed wheel 3 .
Axially inside the support 2 is movably mounted a chette oven control rod 16, a lower tail protruding outwardly to cooperate with an arm of an angle lever 17 pivoted at 18 and the other of which arm is connected to a Jacquard mechanism (not shown). Between the two branches of the fork, the rod 16 comprises another branch 19, shorter, guided in an axial recess chu pivot 7, and a return spring 20 is arranged between the bottom of the rod 16 and the end of the pivot 7.
The device shown in FIG. 1 works as follows: In the disengaging position shown in the figure, wheel 3 turns idle and base 8 is immobilized because teeth 12 of ring 11 are engaged both in notches 10 of hub 9 of the base 8 than in the notches 13 of the tubular support 2. On the other hand, when the lever 17, by the action exerted by the Jacquard mechanism, moves angularly in the opposite direction to that of clockwise, it lifts the rod 16, the branches of which lift the ring 11 by releasing it from the support 2 in order to engage the internal teeth 15 of its appendages 14 in the notches 6 of the hub 4; the base 8 is thus coupled with the wheel 3 and the spindle is set in rotation.
As soon as the control action of the Jacquard mechanism has ceased, the member 16 returns, under the action of the spring 20, to its lowest position and the ring 11 in turn descends to engage again in the notches on the edge of the support 2 and instantly stopping the spindle base 8.
In the embodiment shown in FIG. 2, the device, mounted as a whole on a plate 1, further comprises a tubular support 2 carrying a toothed wheel 3 with hub 4 provided with diametrically opposed notches 6.
A base 8 which supports a spindle (not shown) extends below into a hub 9 which penetrates into the support 2 and has an axial hole for mounting a control member constituted by a rod 16 ', the lower end of which ends. on the outside to cooperate with an arm of a lever 17 pivoted at 18 and make the other arm is connected to a Jacquard mechanism.
The upper end of the rod 16 'is connected by a pin 21 to a ring 11 which is mounted on the hub 9 of the base 8 so as to slide axially without being able to turn on said. hub, for example by giving a quadrangular profile to the hub 9 and to the hole in the ring 11 the hub is penetrated. A slot 22 made in the means 9 allows the rod 16 ', the pin 21 and the ring 11 to perform a limited axial movement relative to the hub 9.
This ring has two diametrically opposed teeth 15 below which can engage in the notches 6 of the hub 4 of the wheel 3 and, at the top, two notches 23, also diametrically opposed, to cooperate with a tooth 24 of a stationary part. 25 of the machine.
A return spring 20 is arranged around the. rod 16 'between a shoulder 26 of the latter and the bottom of the cap 2' which forms the tubular support 2.
In the position shown in FIG. 2, the wheel 3 runs empty and the base 8 of the spindle holder is stationary, the tooth 24 of the stationary part 25 being engaged in the housing 23 of the ring 11 which is lifted and consequently debra # ed from the wheel 3.
When the lever 17 is deflected by the Jacquard mechanism in the direction of clockwise, the rod 1.6 'is lowered and. it drives the ring 11 which emerges from the stationary tooth 24, while its teeth 15 engage with the notches 6 of the hub 4 of the wheel 3, so that the. base 8 is made integral with the. wheel 3 and the spindle is rotated.
As soon as the control of the Jacquard mechanism ceases, the rod 16 'is pushed back by the spring 20 into its upper position which corresponds to stopping and blocking the spindle base 8.
