Le dessin annexé représente, à titre d'exemple, une forme d'exécution de l'objet de l'invention. La fig. 1 en est une vue de dessus ; la fig. 2 est une vue en coupe du piton auquel le spiral est fixé ; la fig. 3 est une vue de dessous de l'oreille du coq, du porte-piton et du mécanisme permettant de déplacer le piton par rapport à l'oreille du coq ; la fig. 4 est une vue en coupe selon la ligne IV- IV de la fig. 3 ; la fig. 5 est une vue partielle dudit mécanisme ; les fig. 6, 7 et 8 sont des vues en élévation, respectivement en perspective, des trois pièces faisant partie du piton ;

Device for adjusting the spiral spring of a balance% The present patent relates to a device for adjusting the spiral spring of a balance, the outer end of which is attached to a stud carried by an ear mounted rotatably on the cock and arranged so that the active length of the hairspring can be changed.
This device is characterized by means making it possible to move the external attachment point of the hairspring, relative to the cock's ear, according to a two-dimensional coordinate system parallel to the plane of the cock.
The appended drawing represents, by way of example, an embodiment of the object of the invention. Fig. 1 is a top view; fig. 2 is a sectional view of the eyebolt to which the hairspring is attached; fig. 3 is a bottom view of the rooster's ear, of the eyebolt holder and of the mechanism for moving the eyebolt relative to the rooster's ear; fig. 4 is a sectional view along the line IV-IV of FIG. 3; fig. 5 is a partial view of said mechanism; figs. 6, 7 and 8 are views in elevation, respectively in perspective, of the three parts forming part of the piton;
figs. 9 and 10 are plan views of the parts shown in FIGS. 6 and 7.
In this drawing, 10 designates the balance, 11 the hairspring, 13 the cock, 12 an ear mounted rotatably on the latter. The hairspring 11 is attached to the lug 12 via the eyebolt shown in FIG. 2. This eyebolt comprises a pin 14, provided with a notched head 14a and a ridged section 14b, fitted with greasy friction in two bushes 15 and 16. These three parts are held together by a spring 17, part of which s' engages in a groove 14c of the axis 14.
The outer end of the hairspring 11 is clamped between a tongue 15a of the sleeve 15 and the section 14b of the shaft 14. When the latter is rotated by means of an instrument engaged in a notch of the head 14a , the outer end of the hairspring 11 is moved in one direction or the other depending on the direction of rotation of the axis 14. It is thus possible to adjust the active length of the hairspring.
The balance is brought into line by rotating the lug 12 around its axis. The hairspring fixing eyelet is mounted in a eyebolt holder collar 18 in which it is locked by a screw 19. This collar is itself mounted in the groove of a support 20, so as to be able to rotate in friction in this. support around the axis of the latter according to the arrow Fl between angular limits determined (see FIG. 1) by a lug 18a of the collar 18 and a notch 20a of the support 20 in which the lug 18a is engaged.
The support 20 is carried by an arm 20b pivoted on the ear 12 at 21. This arm 20b is cinematically connected to a finger 22 pivoted at 23 and the curved end 22a of which (FIG. 1) moves in a notch 12a of the ear 12. By moving this finger 22 against the friction generated by a blade 24 elastically applied against the arm 20b and the

finger 22, the support 20 of the eyebolt and, consequently, the external attachment point of the balance spring is moved along arrow F2, that is to say approximately over a radius passing through the axis of the balance.
The double possibility of moving the hairspring attachment point according to the arrows Fl and F2 makes it possible to fully correct the centering of the hairspring.
In summary, the device described makes it possible to adjust the setting of the balance of the balance, the active length of the hairspring and the centering of the turns.
