Device for adjusting the spiral spring of a balance The present patent relates to a device for adjusting the spiral spring of a balance, the outer end of which is attached to a stud carried by an ear mounted rotatably on the cock and arranged so that we can modify the active length of the hairspring. This device comprises means making it possible to move the external attachment point of the hairspring, relative to said ear, according to a coordinate system with two dimensions parallel to the plane of the cock.
This device is characterized by the fact that said means comprise a ring mounted in said lug so as to be able to rotate about an axis parallel to the axis of rotation of this lug, and an annular flange, in which the stud is intended to be fixed, mounted in the ring so as to be able to rotate therein about an axis parallel to the axis of rotation of the ring, the point of attachment of the hairspring being eccentric with respect to the axes of rotation of the flange and of the ring, so that, by moving these last two parts rotatably about their axes of rotation, this point moves on arcs of circles forming said two-dimensional coordinate system.
The drawing represents, by way of example, an embodiment of the object of the invention.
Fig. 1 is a top plan view; fig. 2 is a sectional view along the line II-II of FIG. 1; fig. 3 is a bottom plan view.
The adjustment device shown comprises an ear 12 intended to be rotatably mounted on the cock. The eyebolt, not shown, to which the last turn of the spiral spring is attached so that its active length can be adjusted, is intended to be fixed in a split annular flange 40. This flange, provided (fig. 2) with a flange 41 and a tab 42, is rotatably mounted in a ring 43 mounted in the same way in a collar 44 of the ear 12.
The axis of the hole in the ring 43, that is to say the axis of rotation of the flange 40 and the axis of rotation of the ring 43 are parallel to the axis of rotation of the lug 12. These three axes, designated respectively by A, B and C, are distinct from each other and from the point of attachment, designated by D, of the hairspring.
The ring 43 has on its periphery, on the one hand, a projection 45 provided with a notch 46, intended to receive the blade of an instrument such as a screwdriver, for example, used to facilitate the angular displacements of the ring. 43 and, on the other hand, a locking screw 47, the end of which comes to rest against the outer surface of the flange 40.
By angularly moving the flange 40 and the ring 43 around their respective axes of rotation (A, B), the attachment point D moves according to arcs of circles forming a two-dimensional coordinate system parallel to the plane of the rooster.
This adjustment of the position of the spiral spring attachment point makes it possible to center the turns exactly in relation to the C axis.
