Device for locking a winding crown in rotation The quality of the timepieces currently manufactured has opened up a very wide field of use to them. In doing so, they are sometimes used under conditions which are very stressful for the mechanism, which then undergoes numerous shocks or friction. These shocks and friction can sometimes cause accidental rotation of the actuating crowns of various components controlling, for example, the winding of the movement and the time setting, or the chime, or even in certain dial counters. time for starting and stopping the needle as well as zeroing it.
In the more precise case of the watch used for scuba diving, the fortuitous actuation of the crown of the winder controlling the winding and setting of the striking time can have dramatic consequences. This is why it is particularly appropriate to provide these watches with a device for locking this crown in rotation.
Such devices are known where the locking is achieved by means of a cap engaged on a threaded portion of the tube of the pendant. This cap can be placed in the pulled-out position relative to the case, which corresponds to the position of the striking time, and the cap then comes to rest against the crown of the winder.
This mechanism is not entirely satisfactory, because in the final locking phase, the rotation of the cap causes that of the winding crown and consequently the time setting is out of adjustment.
The purpose of the rotation locking device, which is the subject of the present invention, is to avoid this drawback.
It comprises a tube in which a part of the crown slides and a nut engaged on said tube, charac terized in that said nut comprises, directly above the head of the winding crown, an annular recess opening onto said tube, a ring being housed freely in this recess and protruding from the face of the nut opposite the head of the winding crown.
The invention will be better understood by referring to the following description as well as to the appended drawing which shows a sectional view of an embodiment of the device given by way of example.
The winding crown 1 comprises a cylindrical part 1a which is engaged and slides in a pendant tube 2. The winding mechanism further comprises a stem (not shown), integral with the crown and providing the kinematic connection between the latter and the components. that it operates. A seal 3 provides sealing.
The end of the tube 2 placed in the vicinity of the crown comprises a part 2a whose configuration is that of a cylindrical sleeve, which is extended by a part 2b which is threaded.
A nut 4 is engaged on the threaded part 2b and extends vertically over the part 2a.
Plumb with the head of the winding crown, the nut 4 comprises an annular recess 4a open on the part 2a of the tube 2. In this recess is freely housed a ring 5 projecting from the face of the nut in look of the crown winding head.
For the rotation locking of the crown 1, the nut 4 is rotated and drives the ring 5 in a translational movement until this ring is applied against the underside of the head lb of the crown of winder. The latter is therefore not driven in rotation since at no time does it come into contact with the nut.
When it is applied to the locking of the winding crown of the striking mechanism of a clockwork movement, the use of the device is similar,
