Self-winding watch movement by oscillating weight. The object of the invention is a watch movement with automatic winding by means of an oscillating mass, comprising a usual winding mechanism controlled by the winding stem, the oscillating mass carrying, wedged on its hub, a wheel intended to drive the crown ratchet during the direct alternation of said mass, by the intermediary of references, one of which is provided with a retaining pawl.
This movement is characterized in that the first of said intermediate references is mounted on a rocker provided with a return spring, constantly meshes with said wheel integral with the oscillating mass and always tends to. mesh with the second of said intermediate references, the whole being arranged in such a way that said reference of the rocker is forced to move away from the second intermediate return when the crown ratchet is leading and during the retrograde alternation of the lever. oscillating weight.
The accompanying drawing shows, by way of example, an embodiment of the object of the invention.
Fig. 1 shows a plan view, tan say that FIG. 2 is a section along the axes of the moving parts of the automatic winding mechanism.
In the drawing, we can see the barrel ratchet 3 which is controlled by the crown ratchet 4 in which it meshes. This crown ratchet is controlled, as usual, by a winding pull mechanism (not shown) comprising the stem and the winding crown. The crown wheel 4 always turns in the same direction of rotation, indicated by an arrow (fig. 1), and winds up the barrel spring. On the other hand, it is actuated by the automatic winding mechanism comprising an oscillating weight 5 pivoted, by its axis 6, at the center of the frame of the movement.
On the hub of the axis 6 is wedged a toothed wheel 7, in which constantly engages a toothed gear 8 mounted on a rocker 9 pivoted, on the surface of a screw 10, on a fixed support. The rocker 9 is provided with a return spring 12, the action of which always tends to engage and keep meshing the return 8 in the return wheel 13 provided with a pinion 14. This pinion meshes with a toothed return 15 provided a pinion 16 meshing with the crown ratchet 4. The return wheel 13 is provided with a retaining pawl 17 with a return spring 17 '.
When the mass 5 is driven by an oscillating movement, in one or the other direction, it always drives the rocker return 8, via the automatic re-assembly wheel 7. On the other hand, this return 8 only drives the return wheel 13, and therefore the crown ratchet 4, only during the direct alternation indicated by arrow 11 (fig. 1), of the oscillating weight 5.
On the contrary, when this mass 5 performs its retrograde alternation, in the direction opposite to that indicated by the arrow 11, the return 8 is constrained to move away from the return wheel 13, as indicated by a second position 8 ', given that this wheel 13 is prevented from turning in the opposite direction to that of the reassembly, by the retaining pawl 17. The latch return 8 can therefore perform a unclipping movement, thanks to the voting latch pi which, under the The action of its return spring 12 yields elastically and always tends to cause said return to mesh in the return wheel 13.
The same function, that is to say the release of the return 8, also occurs when the return wheel 13 is the driving wheel, which is the case during manual winding using the crown and the winding stem. Indeed, the return 8 can not be driven by the return wheel 13, since it is always engaged with the wheel 7 integral with the oscillating mass 5.
The rocker return 8 is therefore forced to move away from the driving mass 13 by unclipping, so that the winding movement of the crown ratchet 4 is irreversible and, therefore, inoperative on the wheel automatic winding 7.
This automatic winding mechanism is very simple, robust and easy to assemble; it takes up relatively little space and operates with all desirable safety.
