Oscillating weight automatic winding mechanism for winding watch movements. The object of the invention is an automatic winding mechanism with oscillating weight for winding watch movements, in which the barrel ratchet is constantly engaged with two toothed wheels, one of which is controlled by the winding crown, the other by a cog actuated by the oscillating weight.
This mechanism is characterized in that this mentioned cog drives said toothed wheel set in the direction of winding, by means of a wolf tooth coupling, with the aim that said mobile can turn without driving the automatic winding wheel. when driven by the barrel ratchet.
The accompanying drawing shows, by way of example, one embodiment of the subject of the invention.
Fig. 1 shows a diagrammatic section along the axes of the moving parts of the mechanism, from the winding pinion to the toothed wheel actuated by the pawl of the oscillating weight; fig. 2 is a plan view.
In the drawing, we can see the motor barrel â, the barrel ratchet 4, the crown ratchet 5 and the winding pinion 6.
The barrel spring can be wound up at will, using the winding crown actuating the barrel ratchet 4, via the pinion 6 and the crown ratchet 5. However, the barrel spring is wound up, normally, by means of an automatic winding mechanism comprising a weight or oscillating mass, the arm 7 of which is fixed on an axis 8 pivoted freely in the supports 9, respectively 10. For this purpose, an impulse pawl 11 is pivoted on the arm of the weight 7 and actuates a toothed wheel 12 fitted idle on the axis 8.
This wheel 12 drives, in the winding direction, the barrel ratchet 4, by means of a gear train comprising a toothed wheel 13, a pinion 14, a barrel wheel 15 and a meshing pinion 16. in the barrel ratchet 4, the wheel 13 being fixed to the pinion axis 14.
The wheel 15 and the pinion 16 are arranged coaxially and form a wolf-tooth coupling. To this end, these two mobile units each have straight teeth and side teeth with wolf teeth. The pinion 16 is fixed on the axis 17, while the wheel 15 is idle on this axis and forms a traveling mobile. A relatively weak flat spring 18 acts constantly on the wheel 15 and tends to couple this wheel and the pinion 16 with one another; by their wolf-tooth lateral teeth. In the wheel 13 is engaged a retaining pawl 19.
The oscillating movement of the re-assembly weight has the effect that the pawl 11 communicates to the wheel 12 a rotational movement which is transmitted to the barrel ratchet 4, via the mobile 13, 14, of the wheel 15 and of the coupling pinion 16. The ratchet 4 then turns in the direction of re-assembly and binds the barrel spring.
The barrel ratchet 4 is also driven in the winding direction, when it is controlled by the winder 5, 6, using the winding crown. In this case, it is the barrel ratchet 4 which drives the pinion 16, the function of which is irreversible on the automatic winding mechanism, thanks to the wolf tooth clutch provided between the mobiles 15 and 16 and to the effect resistance produced by the pawls 11 and 19, each of which is provided with a return spring.
As the automatic winding train is not driven, winding via the crown is relatively smooth and at the same time rapid wear and tear of the moving parts, in particular the pivots, of the automatic winding train, is avoided.
The wheel 15 being idle on its axis, however always remains in engagement with the pinion 14. However, the wheel 15 could be wedged on its axis. At o6 -las, it is the clutch pinion 16 which would form the moving wheel and would be subjected to the action of a return spring tending to ensure the clutch between the wheels 15 and 16.
