Projection device. Different types of projection devices are known. They all include an object table, and a set of objectives and capacitors making it possible to achieve different magnifications on the same projection device.
The object-holder table: must necessarily be located between the condenser and the objective, and this, for each possible combination of optical parts, combination which varies according to the desired magnification. In addition, this object-holder table is generally movable parallel to the optical axis of the device. For this purpose, it is preferably integral with a support capable of performing a vertical translational movement. Finally, to allow adjustment of the exact position of the object relative to the optical axis, the object-holder table is generally provided with two crossed adjustment slides.
However, when it comes to achieving high magnification, the front distance of the projection objective as well as the front distance of the corresponding capacitor are necessarily short. The objective and the condenser ile therefore approach very close .de the object-carrying table, and may therefore constitute an obstacle to access. the optical parts and the positioning on the object table of the parts to be projected.
The object of the present invention is a projection apparatus comprising an optical equipment of objectives and capacitors and an object-carrying table which makes it possible to eliminate the aforementioned drawbacks by the fact that means are provided. to allow the object-holder table to be quickly removed from the optical axis of the device.
The appended drawing represents, schematically and by way of example, one embodiment of the object of the invention.
Fig. 1 is an elevational view thereof, with certain parts in section.
Fig. 2 is a detail view.
Fig. 3 is a sectional view taken along line III-III of 1a fig. 1. According to -the drawing, the projection apparatus comprises a frame 1 which rests on a base 2. This frame comprises two parts (not shown) in which an axis 3 pivots on which are rigidly fixed a revolver lens holder 4 and a capacitor holder 5.
Two objectives 6, a, 6b and three capacitors 7a, 7b, 7c are visible in fig. 1. A lantern 8 containing the lighting device surmounts the frame 1. The latter further comprises two bearings 9 and 10 which maintain an axially movable member, consisting of a column 11 on which is fixed. rigidly a collar 12.
The column 11 is prevented from rotating by an arm 13 integral with the collar 12. This arm is terminated by a pad 14 which can move in a slide consisting of a surface 15 arranged on the side of the frame 1 and a retaining strip 16 screwed onto the surface 15. The object-holder table is mounted on a support 17 comprising a sleeve 18 embracing the column 11. A second arm 19 integral with the collar 12 extends under the support of the object-holder table.
This arm 19 carries at 20 a projection against which abuts a corresponding element. 211 (fig. 3) provided under the support 17. These two projections define the working position of the object-holder table which is maintained in this position by locking members constituted by a spring needle 37, applied against a inclined plane 22 made in the support 17.
These locking members are provided so as to apply the projection 2-1 of the support 17 against that 20 of the arm 19.
The object-holder table comprises, according to use, two crossed adjustment slides 23 and 24, provided with adjustment screws 25 and 26 making it possible to move the object placed on the object-holder table in two perpendicular directions. These slides therefore make it possible to place the object or part of the object to be examined exactly in the optical axis of the apparatus.
Column 11 is provided with a nut 28 through which passes a screw 29 suspended from a bearing 3.1 and which carries a gear 30 in mesh with another gear (not shown), connected to a handle 27.
The focusing of the apparatus is obtained by actuating the lever 2,7 which controls the axial movements (parallel to the optical axis of the apparatus) of column 11. This drives the object-holder table via the collar 12 on which rests the sleeve 18 of the support 17.
The projection apparatus shown is therefore an apparatus intended for the same purpose as other known projection apparatuses, and comprises a set of objectives and capacitors, as well as an object-holder table provided with crossed adjustment slides. This object-holder table can be moved parallel to the optical axis of the apparatus in order to carry out the focusing. These movements are controlled by means of the lever which actuates the column 11 which in turn drives the support 17 of the object table.
But \ the object-holder table is also eclipsable, that is to say that it can be rapidly moved away from the optical axis of the apparatus. To this end, Ila object-holder table can be moved from its working position (FIG. 3 in solid lines) by simple rotation around column 11 and come to occupy an eclipsed position (indicated in phantom). It is obvious that this rotation of the object-holder table could be done around an axis whatever parallel to the optical axis of the apparatus.
The object-holder table could also be eclipsed by means of a translation of the latter in a plane perpendicular to the optical axis of the apparatus. One could then, for example, make the support 17 integral with the column 11 and provide thereon a slide for both the object-holder table provided with its two crossed adjustment slides.
The working position of the object-holder table is defined by the projections 20 and 21 and the locking members tend to hold them in this position by pressing these projections against each other. It is obvious that this locking device could be replaced by any other known device.
An apparatus in accordance with the invention has the great advantage of making it possible to quickly separate the object-holder table from the optical axis of the apparatus. In the case of high magnification, the frontal distances of the optical parts being very short, the placement of the objects on the object-holder table, when the latter is in the working position, is difficult; in the eclipsed position, on the other hand, the table being entirely clear, the positioning of the objects is greatly facilitated.
In addition, when the object-holder table -is in the eclipsed position, access to the optical parts is completely free, which allows easy and rapid cleaning thereof.
