Camera trigger handle The present invention relates to a trigger handle for a camera removably mounted on said handle and comprising a rotating turret with objectives and a trigger mounted movably vertically on the side of its face. before. This handle is characterized by the fact that it comprises a metal support on which is mounted a trigger actuating said camera trigger via a claw movable vertically and secured to an eclipsable support to allow the rotation of said tour.
The accompanying drawing shows schematically and by way of example, three embodiments of the release handle according to the invention.
Fig. 1 is an elevational view of the trigger handle on which a camera is mounted.
Fig. 2 is a cross-sectional view taken along the following 11-11 of FIG. 1.
Fig. 3 is a side view, partly in section, corresponding to that of FIG. 2.
Fig. 4 is a detail view illustrating, half in elevation and half in section, the cage in which the claw holder slide is mounted. Fig. 5 is a plan view correspoqda! #T to that of FIG. 4.
Fig. 6 is a view similar to that of FIG. 2, illustrating an alternative embodiment of the trigger handle.
Fig. 7 is a side view, partly in section, corresponding to that of FIG. 6.
Fig. 8 is a detail view illustrating, in elevation, the claw holder support.
Fig. 9 is a view similar to that of, FIG. 2, illustrating an alternative embodiment of the release handle according to FIGS. 6 to 8.
Fig. 10 is a side view, partly in section, corresponding to that of FIG. 9.
Fig. 11 is a detail view illustrating, in elevation, the claw holder support.
The handle shown is constituted, in the known manner, by a support 1, preferably of cast metal, on which is attached a part 2, preferably of plastic material, established in the form of a stick. On the support 1, there is also provided, in the conventional manner, a screw 3 for mounting a camera, generally designated by 4, provided with a trigger member 5 mounted movably vertically on the device. side of the front face of the camera which is equipped with a rotating turret T with several objectives, two for example According to the embodiment shown in FIGS. 2 to 5, the trigger handle has a trigger 6,
pivotally mounted on an axis 7 bracing the two flanges 8 and 9 of the support part 1. On this trigger 6 is fixed, in an adjustable manner by means of a screw 10, one of the ends of a flexible cable 11, the other end of which is fixed, in an adjustable manner by means of a screw 12, on a slider 13 slidably mounted inside a cage 14. The flexible cable 11 passes over two pivoting rollers 15 , 16 fixed on the support 1 by means of two screws.
On the upper end of the slide 13 is mounted, by means of a screw 17, a claw 18 engaging with the trigger 5 of the camera.
So that the slide 13 can move in the cage 14, the latter is provided with a slot through which the claw 18 protrudes outside the cage 14.
Further, so that the claw 18 can be conveniently brought into engagement with the trigger 5 of the camera, and so that the. turret T thereof can be rotated, the cage 14, with the components it contains, is pivotally mounted on the axis 19 serving to be fixed to the support 1. 'The release handle is supplemented by a return spring 21 arranged between the support 1 and the trigger 6, and by a plate 22 which engages with the screw 3, in order to prevent any lateral sliding.
The claw 18 being engaged with the trigger 5, when you press with a finger on the trigger 6, the latter pivots on the axis 7 and, by means of the cable 11, causes the centering of the slide 13 inside the cage 14. The claw 18 being integral with the slide 13, it follows that it actuates the trigger 5.
When you stop pressing on the trigger 6, the latter returns to its rest position, under the action of the spring 21, and the claw 18 in rising allows the trigger 5 to return itself to its position of. departure.
In the exemplary embodiment illustrated in FIGS. 6 to 8, the trigger 6, instead of being mounted to pivot, is slidably mounted on the support 1 of the handle, its guidance being provided by means of two screws 23 and 24, spacing the flanges 8 and 9 of said support and passing through two oblong slots 25 and 26, respectively, provided in the body of the trigger. On the upper end of the body of the trigger 6 is directly articulated, by means of a pin 27, a support 28 provided, at its free end, with a claw 29 maintained in engagement with the trigger 5 of the camera at the by means of a return spring 30 fixed on a projection 31 so lidaire of the support 1.
The handle is completed by an angled return spring 32 acting on the trigger 6 (see fig. 7).
When the trigger 6 is pressed in the direction indicated by the arrow in FIG. 7, the claw 29 acts on the trigger 5 of the camera in antagonism to the action of the return spring 32 which automatically returns the trigger 6 to its rest position when it ceases to act on it.
The support 28 carrying the claw 29 being mounted to pivot on the axis 27, it is understood that it is possible to make it pass from the position in which it is shown in solid lines in FIG. 6 to that in which it is shown in phantom in the same fi gure, to allow the turret T to be rotated for a change of objective.
In the case of fig. 9 to 11 which illustrate a variant of the release handle described with reference to FIGS. 6 to 8, the claw holder 28 is mounted articulated, at the upper end of the body of the trigger 6, by means of an axis 33 perpendicular to the trigger 6 and on which it is mounted so as to be able to rotate freely . In addition, the support 28 is provided with an axis 34, the latter being joined to the axis 33 by means of a spring 35 arranged in such a way that the support 28 can be folded into one or the other of the two positions 28 'and 28 ", in which it is shown in phantom in Fig. 10.
It results from the assembly which has just been indicated that the support 28 can be tilted completely to come to occupy two rest positions of opposite directions which are both substantially perpendicular to the position which it occupies when it is in use, that is to say the position in which it is represented in solid lines in FIGS. 9 to 11.
The advantage of the assembly which has just been described is that, when the shoe holder support is in its position 28 ', it allows the rotation of the turret T to be carried out freely and easily, while, when it is in its 28 "position, the camera 4 having been detached from the handle, it allows the said camera to be housed more easily in its case for transport and is protected from shocks which would be liable to distort it. he remained in position 28 in which he is most vulnerable.
It should be noted, moreover, that, when the claw holder support is in its position 28 ", the spring 35 constantly tends to bring it back to its service position 28 and thus makes it possible to ensure that the die is hooked. trigger 5 of the camera 4 very constant and without any failure, this being due to the fact that, having regard to the very small clearance existing between the trigger 5 and the corresponding wall of the camera 4, said spring 35 automatically compensates not only the clearance above, but also the play which could occasionally occur between the trigger 5 and the support 28 in the service position, as a result of a faulty mounting of the camera on the trigger handle.
For the return of the trigger 6, the latter is subjected to the action of a spring 36 which bears, at one end, on the support 1 of the handle and, at its other end, on said trigger, this spring passing around an axis 37 bracing the two flanges 8 and 9 of the support 1.
It should be noted that, in any one of the embodiments described, the claw being able to be brought out of engagement with the trigger 5 of the camera, it is possible to actuate said trigger by hand.
