Description

Process for the preparation of a monoazo dye. The subject of the present additional patent is a process for the production of a monoazo dye, characterized in that 4-amina-1, -phenoloetyl ether is diazotized and coupled with 1-benzoylamino-8-oxynaphahalinr4,6-idisulfonic acid. The dye obtained in this way dyes wool and silk from acidic and neutral baths in genuine, bright blue-red tones.
Example: 2; 2e, 1 part of 4-amino-1-phenolootyl ether chlorohydrate are concentrated with 40 parts. Hydrochloric acid stirred for one hour,
50 parts of ice water are added and the mixture is diazotized at 5 with a concentrated aqueous solution of 7 parts of sodium nitrite. The diazonium compound is allowed to form an ammo
