Push-button winding crown. The subject of the invention is a push-piece winding crown intended more particularly but not exclusively for alarm watches.
This crown comprises a hollow push-piece mounted in the crown and assembled in a removable manner with a control tube actuating, for example, the mechanism for setting the time of the alarm clock. It is characterized in that the pusher comprises a cylindrical part fitted in a corresponding core of the crown and at least two threaded cylinder segments passing through corresponding openings made in the bottom of said core, these segments being screwed. on the outer end of the control tube and forming with the latter a cone seal determining a reciprocal wedging of the screw threads of said elements screwed into one another.
The accompanying drawing shows, by way of example, one embodiment of the subject of the invention. Fig. 1 is a longitudinal section, while fig. 2 is a section along the line II-II of FIG. 1.
The tubular winding crown 3 has two axial bores 4, 4 ', separated from one another by a transverse wall 5 forming a core 6, into which the winding stem 7 is screwed. The bore 4 is flared at 8. and forms a cylindrical core, in which is fitted the hollow cylindrical pusher 9, with a rounded head. This pusher is extended at its lower end (fig. 1) by two cylinder segments 10 which pass through two or corresponding openings 11 formed in the transverse wall 5 forming the bottom of the core 4.
The segments 10 are threaded over part of their length and screwed onto a threaded part 121 of a tube 12 fitted by a collar 13, in the bore 4 'of the crown.
The tube 12, inside which is secured the core 6 of the crown and passes the winding stem 7, is intended to act on a watch mechanism, for example on the time-setting mechanism of the watch. I have no alarm clock; it is subjected to the action of a return spring (not shown in the drawing) always tending to return it, as well as the pusher, to its original position which is that shown in the drawing.
The segments 10 have a conical end surface which forms, together with a corresponding conical surface of the collar 13, a cone seal 15 determining a reciprocal wedging of the threads of the segments 10 and those of the tube 12, when these two elements are screwed fully into each other, the segments springing slightly. A perfectly rigid and safe, but removable, reciprocal assembly of the pusher and the control tube 12 is thus achieved.
During operation, the pusher is guided by the tubular ring gear and in particular by the openings 11 giving a step to the segments 10, these openings preventing the pusher from turning on itself.
When the winding crown 3 is rotated, with a view to winding the motor barrel (s) or resetting the hour and minute hands, the pusher is rotated by the crown, but without risk that the pusher and the tube 12 accidentally release from each other.
In the example shown, the pusher comprises two segments 10, but it could cohrporter more, for example three, each segment having an internal thread and passing through a corresponding opening made in the transverse wall 5 of the crown.
