Projectile rocket. The present invention relates to a projectile fuze, characterized in that it comprises, at its front end, a cap rotatably adapted and intended for the adjustment before the departure of the projectile from the position of a threaded part comprising a percussion member ensuring, at a determined instant, the firing of a fuse primer, this threaded piece being, for this purpose, intended at the moment of the departure of the projectile, to be secured with a suitable member rotatably connected to one of the ends a spring, the other end of which is connected to at least one rotating ring intended to @ to wind it up at the start by the effect of inertia, this winding resulting from the rotary movement,
relating to the departure of the projectile, of the rotary member relative to said ring, means being provided to immobilize the latter when the spring is wound up and other means being provided for adjusting the movement of the rotary member driven by the spring .
The accompanying drawing shows, by way of example, one embodiment of the object of the invention. The single figure is a view in partial axial section.
The projectile fuze shown., Intended to be fixed, via a thread 1, to a shell 2, for example, comprises, at its front end, a. cap 3, the latter being rotatably adapted to the body 4 of the rocket. Inside the latter, near the cap 3, is screwed a threaded part 5, connected internally by means of a key 6, to an axial element 7 provided with a radial duct 8 in which is disposed a percussion ball 9.
The cap 3 com carries a recess 10 in which are removably adapted to allow the "tempagell of the projectile, one of the ends of the key 6 and of the axial element 7, the other end 11 of the latter being tinée, of on the one hand, to engage, at the start of the shell 2, in a cavity 12 of a member 13 rotatably adapted to the interior of the body 4 of the rocket and, on the other hand, to free itself from the cap 3 .
The element 7 is intended to move longitudinally at the start of the projectile and circularly, when a motor spring 20 is wound up, by driving the threaded part 5 to bring a radial channel 14, which the latter has, opposite the duct 8, on the one hand, and the orifice 15, on the other hand, the latter being provided with a primer to be struck, and communicating with the interior of the shell 2 via an ignition duct 16. A part of circular displacement of the element 7, and consequently of the part 5, is produced by means of the cap 3 which is rotatably displaced before the departure of the shell, and constitutes the "tempering" of the latter.
The rotary member 13 is adapted to the interior of the body 4 of the rocket, by the intermediary of a plate 17 and ball bearings 18 and 19; it is connected, by means of a spring 20, to a ring 21, itself secured by means of keys 22 with a ring 23 intended to move circularly and longitudinally after the start of the project and maintained at the 'Inside the body 4, by a thread 24. The ring 21, pivoted on a ball bearing 25, is intended to wind the spring 20.
The thread 24 of the ring 23 forces the latter to move longitudinally, when under the effect of its inertia it and the ring 21 make a circular displacement lagging behind that of the body of the shell, this displacement longitudinal allowing at the end of the stroke, that is to say when the spring 20 is raised, to block the ring 23 on the plate 17 and, consequently, the ring 21.
Indeed, . at the start of the shell 2, the axial element 7, due to its inertia, is displaced longitudinally and its end 11 engages in the cavity 12 of the member 13 which moves circularly with the body of the rocket ; then this member 13 rotatably actuated on the other hand by the spring 20, reassembled by the rings 21 and 23, drives the element 7 and the threaded part 5 so that the channel 14 of the latter connects the orifice 15 and the conduit 8, and that the ball 9 strikes, due to its centrifugal force, a primer arranged in said orifice 15. The movement of the member 13, under the action of the spring 20, is regulated by a mechanism of timepiece comprising the elements 27, 28, 29, 30 and 31.
An extension 32 of the axial element 7 makes it possible to maintain the latter in engagement with the cap 3 before the use of the fuse shown, the wall of this extension being connected, for this purpose, by a spring 33 to the wall of 'a cavity 34 of said cap. The displacement of the element 7 at the time of the departure of the shell 2, brings the ball 9 to 9 ', at the level of the orifice 15.
