Description

  

  Verfahren zur Herstellung eines Gemisches von     Polyammoninmverbindnngen.       Gegenstand des vorliegenden Patentes ist  ein Verfahren zur Herstellung eines Gemisches  von     Polyammoniumverbindungen,    dadurch ge  kennzeichnet, dass man auf     N,N'-Tetrametbyl-          ss-oxypropylendiamin    ein Gemisch von     Alkyl-          bromiden    einwirken lässt, das erhalten wurde  durch Reduktion eines     Fettsäuregemisches,     das durch     Verseifung    von natürlichen Fetten  erhalten wird, und     Veresterung    des dadurch  gewonnenen Gemisches von Fettalkoholen mit  Bromwasserstoff.  



  Das so erhältliche neue Gemisch von       N,N'-Tetramethyl-N,N'-dialkyl-ss-oxypropylen-          diammoniumbromiden    bildet eine gelbliche  zähe Masse, die sich klar in Wasser löst. Es  soll als Desinfektions- und Konservierungs  mittel Verwendung finden.

           Beispiel:     146 Gewichtsteile     N,N'-Tetramethyl-N,N'-          -foxypropylendiamin    erwärmt man mit 533    Gewichtsteilen eines 30     0%    Brom enthaltenden       Gemisches    von     Alkylbromiden,    wie es durch       Bromieren    des durch katalytische Reduktion  eines natürlichen     Fettsäuregemisches    erhält  lichen Gemenges von Fettalkoholen gewonnen  wird, 12 Stunden lang auf 90-100  .

   Nach dem  Erkalten stellt das so entstandene Gemisch  von     N,N'-Tetramethyl-N,N'-dialkyl-R-oxypro-          pylendiammoniumbromiden    eine gelbliche zähe  Masse dar, die sich klar in Wasser löst.

The subject of the present patent is a process for the preparation of a mixture of polyammonium compounds, characterized in that a mixture of alkyl bromides is allowed to act on N, N'-tetramethyl-ss-oxypropylenediamine, which was obtained by reducing a fatty acid mixture obtained by Saponification of natural fats is obtained, and esterification of the resulting mixture of fatty alcohols with hydrogen bromide.



  The new mixture of N, N'-tetramethyl-N, N'-dialkyl-ss-oxypropylenediammonium bromides obtainable in this way forms a yellowish viscous mass which dissolves clearly in water. It should be used as a disinfectant and preservative.

           Example: 146 parts by weight of N, N'-tetramethyl-N, N'- -foxypropylenediamine are heated with 533 parts by weight of a mixture of alkyl bromides containing 30 0% bromine, as obtained by bromination of the mixture of fatty alcohols obtained by catalytic reduction of a natural fatty acid mixture becomes 90-100 for 12 hours.

   After cooling, the resulting mixture of N, N'-tetramethyl-N, N'-dialkyl-R-oxypropylenediammonium bromides is a yellowish viscous mass which dissolves clearly in water.

Claims

Claim: Process for the production of a mixture of polyammonium compounds, characterized in that a mixture of alkyl bromides is acted on N, N'-tetramethyl-f-oxypropylenediamine. which was obtained by reducing a fatty acid mixture obtained by saponification of natural fats and esterifying the resulting petroleum mixture with hydrogen bromide.

The mixture of N, N'-dialkyl.N, N'-tetramethyl.p-ozypropylenediam. monium bromide forms a yellowish mass that dissolves clearly in water. SUBCLAIM: Process according to claim, characterized in that the reaction is carried out with heating.
