  Verfahren zur Darstellung eines     Polymethinfarbstoi%s.       Gegenstand dieses Zusatzpatentes ist ein  Verfahren zur     Darstellung    eines     Polymethin-          farbs.toffes,    welches dadurch gekennzeichnet       ist,    dass man     1,3,3-Trimethyl-4,5-benzoindo-          lin-2-methylen-w-aldehyd    mit     2,3--Dihydro-2-          methylindol    kondensiert und den so erhalte  nen Stoff mit einem     sulfierenden    Mittel be  handelt.  



  <I>Beispiel:</I>       Äquivalente    Teile von     1,3,3-Trimethyl-          4,5-benzoindolin-2-methylen-u)-aldehyd    und       2,3-Dihydro-2-methylin:dol    werden in Benzol  gelöst und nach     Zutropfen    von     Phosphoroxy-          ehlorid    durch Erwärmen bis zur Farbstoff  bildung kondensiert.

   10 Teile des so erhalte  nen     Stoffes    werden mit 20%igem     Oleum    bei  Zimmertemperatur     sulfiert.    Die     Sulfierungs-          masse    wird auf Eis gegossen und     hieraus    der  Farbstoff, der wahrscheinlich eine     Trisulfo-          säure    darstellt, als     Natriumsalz    isoliert.  



  Der so erhaltene Farbstoff färbt als Na-         triumsalz    Wolle in gelben Tönen von ausge  zeichneter Klarheit und Lichtechtheit.

PATENTANSPRUCH: Verfahren zur Darstellung eines Poly- methinfarbstoffes, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass man 1;3;3-Trimethyl-4,5-benzoindolin-2- methylen-co-aldehyd mit 2,3-Dihydro-2-me- thylindol kondensiert und den so erhaltenen Stoff mit einem sulfierenden Mittel be handelt. Der so erhaltene Farbstoff färbt als Na- triumsalzWolle in gelben Tönen von ausge zeichneter Klarheit und Lichtechtheit.
