Description
Verfahren zur Herstellung eines leicht löslichen, basischen Farbstoffes. Gemäss dem in dem Hauptpatent Nr.163009 beschriebenen Verfahren lässt sich die Wasser löslichkeit des Farbstoffes Viktoriablau R ganz wesentlich erhöhen, wenn man diesen Handels farbstoff durch Behandlung mit Phosphorsäure in das phosphorsaure Salz verwandelt.
Wie nun weiter gefunden wurde, lässt sich der basische Farbstoff Tetramethyldi- aminodiphena7,thioniumchlorid (Methylenblau) in der gleichen Weise in einen sehr leicht wasserlöslichen Farbstoff überführen. Das Farbstoffsalz zeigt die gleichen Vorteile, die im Hauptpatent für den aus Viktoriablau R hergestellten Farbstoff beschrieben sind.
<I>Beispiel:</I> 32 Teile des Farbstoffes Tetramethyldi- aminodiphenazthioniumchlorid (Methylenblau) werden in 300 Teilen Wasser, 15 Teilen Phosphorsäure 85 o/oiger Stärke und 6 Teilen Natriumphosphat unter Rühren langsam zum Sieden erhitzt. Dann filtriert man von etwa igen geringen Unreinigkeiten ab, lässt er- kalten und salzt den Farbstoff mit Alkali- phosphat aus. Man erhält so ein hervorragend lösliches, prachtvoll kristallisierendes Farb- salz.

According to the process described in the main patent No. 163009, the water solubility of the Viktoriablau R dye can be increased significantly if this commercial dye is converted into the phosphoric acid salt by treatment with phosphoric acid.
As has now been found further, the basic dye tetramethyldiaminodiphena7, thionium chloride (methylene blue) can be converted into a very easily water-soluble dye in the same way. The dye salt shows the same advantages that are described in the main patent for the dye made from ViktoriablauR.
<I> Example: </I> 32 parts of the dye tetramethyldi- aminodiphenazthionium chloride (methylene blue) are slowly heated to boiling with stirring in 300 parts of water, 15 parts of 85% strength phosphoric acid and 6 parts of sodium phosphate. Then any minor impurities are filtered off, allowed to cool and the dye is salted out with alkali phosphate. In this way, an extremely soluble, splendidly crystallizing colored salt is obtained.
