Description

  

  Verfahren zur Herstellung eines neuen     Anthrachinonfarbstoffes.       Es wurde gefunden, dass man einen neuen       Anthrachinonfarbstoff    erhält -durch Behand  lung von     1-Amino-4-p-sulfoanilido-2-mercapto-          anthrachinon    mit einem     dodecylierenden    Agens.  



  Als     dodecylierendes    Agens kann     Dodecyl-          bromid    benutzt werden.  



  Der     Farbstoff    ist blau und löst sich in  konzentrierter Schwefelsäure mit     rötlich-vio-          letter    Farbe, die auf Zusatz von Formaldehyd  blau wird. Er ist in Wasser löslich, die Lö  sung ist blau und fühlt sich     seifig    an; er  färbt Wolle in blauen Tönen von sehr guter  Wasch- und     Walkechtheit.     



  Im folgenden Beispiel, durch welches die  Erfindung nicht begrenzt wird, sind die Teile  Gewichtsteile.  



  <I>Beispiel:</I>       EinerLösungvon        1-Amino-4-p-sulfoanilido-          2-mercaptoanthrachinon,    welche durch Kochen  von 12 Teilen 2-Brom-l-amino-4-p-sulfoanilido-         anthrachinon    in 120 Teilen Wasser mit 12  Teilen einer 30      /oigen        Natriumhydrosulfid-          lösung    während einer Stunde erhalten wird,  werden 10 Teile     Dodecylbromid    zugesetzt und  das Gemisch wird eine Stunde lang gekocht,  hierauf abgekühlt und der     Farbstoff        abfiltriert.     Der Rückstand wird mit drei Teilen aktiver  Kohle in 700 Teilen heissen Wassers erwärmt,

    filtriert und durch Zusatz von Salz wird der  Farbstoff aus dem Filtrat ausgefällt. Der  Farbstoff wird     abfiltriert    und bei 50   C ge  trocknet.



  Process for the production of a new anthraquinone dye. It has been found that a new anthraquinone dye is obtained by treating 1-amino-4-p-sulfoanilido-2-mercapto-anthraquinone with a dodecylating agent.



  Dodecyl bromide can be used as the dodecylating agent.



  The dye is blue and dissolves in concentrated sulfuric acid with a reddish-violet color, which turns blue when formaldehyde is added. It is soluble in water, the solution is blue and feels soapy; it dyes wool in blue shades of very good wash and milled fastness.



  In the following example, which does not limit the invention, parts are parts by weight.



  <I> Example: </I> A solution of 1-amino-4-p-sulfoanilido-2-mercaptoanthraquinone, which is obtained by boiling 12 parts of 2-bromo-1-amino-4-p-sulfoanilido-anthraquinone in 120 parts of water with 12 parts of a 30% sodium hydrosulphide solution is obtained in the course of one hour, 10 parts of dodecyl bromide are added and the mixture is boiled for one hour, then cooled and the dye is filtered off. The residue is heated with three parts of active charcoal in 700 parts of hot water,

    filtered and the dye is precipitated from the filtrate by adding salt. The dye is filtered off and dried at 50.degree.

Claims

PATENT CLAIM: Process for the production of 1-amino-4-p-sulfoanilido-2-dodecylmercaptoanthra-quinone, characterized in that 1-amino-4- p-sulfoanilido-2-mercaptoanthra-quinone is treated with a dodecylating agent.

The new dye is blue, soluble in concentrated sulfuric acid with a reddish-violet color, which turns blue when formaldehyde is added. It gives a blue, soapy solution with water and dyes wool in blue shades with very good wash and milled fastness.
