Process for the production of a Pyrenderl Vates. It has been found that a pyrene can be produced by acting on 3-pyrenoline phthalic anhydric.
The dye obtained is a red powder which is obtained from trilobenzene and nitrobenzene in red fine needlework with a melting point of 34.0 to 350 '. They dissolve them in concentrated sulfuric acid with a green color and dye cotton from a green-blue vat in red, very real shades.
The action of the phthalic anhydride is carried out at a higher temperature in the presence or absence of indifferent solvents or diluents, such as, for example, nitrobenzene or trichlorobenzene, advantageously in the presence of coindentants; suitable condensing agents are, for example, aluminum halides, such as aluminum chloride, or iron chloride.
These condensation agents can be used in the presence of additives that lower the melting point, such as alkali halides (sodium and / or potassium chloride).
<I> Example<B>1:</B> </I> 30 "6 Part 3-pyrenoline, made from 3.-amine pyrene älir-ssli exposure to <B> Gly- </B> zerin and Sr, hweiel #, acid (- # '8 <B>% </B> ig) at <B> 1.30 </B> to <B> 180' </B> in the presence of nitrate oil according to Skraup, 14.4 parts Aluminum chloride and <B> 72 </B> parts of Phthn, 1,
All ingredients are mixed intimately and baked for 20 hours at a temperature of 135 to 140 minutes. After cooling, the comminuted reaction cake is added to dilute hydrochloric acid to remove the aluminum oxide, boiled, filtered and the residue is first extracted with water, then with dilute Socla solution and dried after washing with water.
<I> Example 2: </I> <B> 12.8 </B> parts of aluminum-iumeliloricl, <B> SO </B> parts of potassium chloride and 20 parts of sodium chloride are at 112 to <B> 117 0 </ B> melted and then added a mixture of 10.2 parts of 3-pyrenoline and 24 parts of plithaic acid anhydride in portions over half an hour with stirring. The temperature is now increased to <B> 165 </B> 'to <B> 170' </B> and held at this temperature for seven hours. After he cold, the reaction ku-ehen is crushed, added to dilute hydrochloric acid, boiled, filtered and the residue. boiled with water.
For cleaning, the dye is soaked in a dilute soda solution and then with hot alcohol. The dye obtained is identical to the product prepared according to Example <B> 1 </B>.
<I> Example<B>3:</B> </I> 10.2 parts of 3-pyrenoline are distributed in 200 parts of tetrachloride, 14 parts of aluminum chloride and <B> 7 </B> parts of phthalic acid on, hydride beige, -even and heated to <B> 60 </B> to <B> 70 '</B> while stirring. After stirring for four hours, the temperature is increased to <B> 92 </B> to <B> 96 '</B> and held for <B> 16 </B> hours.
The reaction mixture is discharged in water and steam distilled to remove the tetrachloroethane. Thereupon it is filtered and separated from unchanged 3-pyrenoline by treatment with hot, dilute soda solution. The filtrate is acidified with dilute hydrochloric acid; it is then filtered, washed with water and dried.
58 parts of the thus obtained 3-pyrene-o-benzoic acid and 40 parts of aluminum chloride are intimately mixed and baked for 2.0 hours at IM to 140 '. The dye formed is purified, as described in Example 1, and is identical to the product obtained in Example 1.
<I> Example 4: </I> <B> 5.1 </B> parts of Z-pyrenoline and <B> 9 </B> parts of phthalic acid, -an'hy, dr, id are in 140 parts Triühlorbenzene heated to 1501 with stirring and then 18 parts of aluminum eluent were added in portions within half an hour at this temperature. After another six hours Efrihitzeru at <B> 1510 '</B> the reaction is over.
It is allowed to cool, it is removed and the dye is freed from impurities by boiling it out with dilute hydrochloric acid and 5% strength social solution. This is followed by washing with water and drying. The dye obtained is identical to the products produced according to Example <B> 1 </B>.
