Process for the preparation of an ogyazo dye. It has been found that valuable o-oxyazo dyes are obtained if o-oxy-diazo compounds, eg.
B. those of the benzene and naphthalene series, with derivatives of 2 Amirro-7-oxynaphthalene, in which a hydrogen atom of the amino group by a hydrocarbon residue BEZW. substituted hydrocarbon radical, such as alkyl, oxyalkyl, cyclohexyl, aryl or aralkyl, and in which the naphthalene nucleus can furthermore be substituted as desired, e.g.
B. by halogen, the carboxyl group, the sulfonic särrregruppe, combined in an alkaline agent, the components being chosen such that at least one sulfo group is contained in the dye molecule. The dyes obtained in this way dye wool in dark, violet, blue to black nuances of good fulling, deca tur- nance and lightfastness when re-homing. In many cases, the dyes can also be colored using the single-bath chrome process.
Furthermore, the dyes can be converted into complex metal compounds by treatment with metal salts by methods known per se, the colorations of which can be distinguished by excellent etchability on wool and silk.
The present patent relates to a process for the production of an oxyazo dye. The process is characterized in that dianotated 4-nitro-2-aminophenol-6-sulphonic acid is combined with 2-phenylamino-7-ogynaphthalene in an alkaline agent. The dye can be treated with metallab donating agents. He dyes wool after chrome-plating in a full flowery black tone.
Example: 23.4 parts by weight of 4-nitro-2-aminophenol-6-sulfonic acid are dianotized with 6.9 parts by weight of sodium nitrite and hydrochloric acid. The diazo solution is allowed to flow into a sodium-alkaline solution of 23.0 parts by weight of 2-phenylamino-7-oxynaphthalene at 3-5 parts by weight. The new dye which has separated out is isolated.
