Description
Verfahren zur Herstellung eines neuen Textilhilfsmittels. Wir haben gefunden, dass ein wertvolles Textilhilfsmittel mit hervorragenden schäu menden, verteilenden und emulgierenden Ei genschaften durch Erhitzen von Äthylenoxyd mit Oleylmethylglucamin erhalten wird.
<I>Beispiel:</I> Ein Gemiseb von 200 Gewichtsteilen Methylglucamin, welches durch Erhitzung von Glucose und wässerigem Methylamin in Gegenwart von Wasserstoff und einem die Wasserstoffaufnahme begünstigenden Katalysator unter Druck erhalten wurde, und von 286 Gewichtsteilen Ölsäure wird fünf Stunden unter Umrühren auf 16'0 erhitzt, am Ende welcher Zeit kein Wasserdampf mehr entwickelt wird und eine wässerige Lö sung der Schmelze keine Fällung von Öl säure nach der Säuerung ergibt.
Das Pro dukt ist ein leicht bräunlicher, mikrokristal linischer, fester Körper, welcher sich in Was ser zu einer farblosen, leicht schäumenden Lösung auflöst.
50 Gewichtsteile dieses Produktes und 40 Gewichtsteile Athylenaxyd werden zu- sammen zehn Stunden in einem dichtvem- schlossenen, gegen Druck widerstandsfähigen Kessel auf 120' C erhitzt. Am Ende dieser Zeit haben sich die Bestandteile zu einer beinahe schwarzen, teigigen Masse kombi niert. Dieselbe ist in Wasser leicht zu einer sehwach alkalischen, schäumenden Lösung löslich und besitzt ausgesprochene vertei lende und emulgierende Eigenschaften:
