  Verfahren zur     Herstellung    von     2-Methyl-amino-4-chlorphenol.       Gegenstand des Patentes ist ein Verfah  ren zur Herstellung von     2-Methylamino-4-          chlorphenol,    welches dadurch gekennzeichnet  ist, dass man     2-Acetylmethylamino-4.-chlor-          phenol    mit starken Mineralsäuren verseift.  



  Gegenüber den bisher bekannten Verfah  ren zur Herstellung dieses     Stoffes    ist das  vorliegende Verfahren leichter ausführbar und  ergibt es bessere Ausbeuten.  



  Das erhaltene     2-Methylamino-4-chlorphe-          nol    kann insbesondere als     Entwicklersubstanz     verwendet werden.    <I>Beispiel:</I>       2-Acetylmethylamino-4-chlorphenol    (F. P.  



       161-162         )        wird        mit        20        %iger        Salzsäure        zum          2-Methylamino-4-chlorphenol    . verseift (F. P.  81 0).
