Watch movement. The invention relates to a watch movement of elongated shape, in which it has been possible, thanks to a judicious arrangement of the organs, to place the axis. Of the field wheel. On the major axis of the watch in order to be able to fix a second hand. The aforementioned arrangement also makes it possible to put: in the watch a relatively large straight line lever escapement.
This movement has a field wheel which is of large dimension and which passes above the upper pivot of the middle wheel. According to the invention, this large field wheel is pivoted in a bridge common to the wheel: of .centre, the middle wheel and the escape wheel, all with the aim of placing the axis of the field wheel on the longitudinal axis of the watch and. to move the center of the escape wheel far enough away from that of the field wheel to be able to use a relatively large straight line escapement.
The accompanying drawing shows, by way of example, one embodiment of the object of the invention.
Fig. 1 represents the movement in plan, seen from the side of the bridges, while La- fig. 2 is a section, on a larger scale, along the broken line I-II-III-IV of FIG. 1.
These figures represent a mantre-baguette movement whose frame comprises a plate 1, a barrel bridge 2, an escapement finishing bridge 3, a medium bridge 4 and a cock 5 ..
The barrel @ 6 drives the pinion 7 of the escape wheel, 8 through three moving parts each comprising a pinion and a wheel, i.e. pinion 9 and the center wheel 10, pinion 11 and the middle wheel 12, as well as pinion 13 and field wheel 14.
To obtain the distance of the centers required for a relatively large straight line escapement, we took gear ratios leading to a large diameter field wheel and made the middle wheel 12 pass below the center wheel 10. The upper pivot of the mobile of this middle wheel pivots in a bridge 4, arranged under the finishing bridge â.
The field wheel 14 passes above the bridge 4. This procedure makes it possible to locate the center of the field wheel on the major axis A-B of the watch. The axis of this wheel carries a long lower pivot 15, extending beyond plate 1 and on which it is possible to freeze a hand indicating the second. On the other hand, there is enough room for a relatively large, straight-line anchor escapement.
The distance from the center of the wheel, from field to center 16, of pivoting @of the fork 17 is sufficient to allow the latter to pass next to the axis 18 of the field wheel: This -distance depends -the size of the field wheel 14.
