Les fig. 1, 2 et3 de ce dessin montrent seliématiquement, respeetive.ment en coupe verticale longitudinale, vu en plan et vu en boutdu #,ôté de sa partie adive, un apparf#I! établi selon la première forme d'exécution; La fig. 4 montre vu en plan un des ments entrant dans la constitution du susdit appareil;
Les fig. 5 et6 montrent respectivement en coupe transversale suivant1-1 et 2-2 fig. 1 le même appareil, Les fig. 7 à 14 montrent schématiquement aussi en élévation ou en coupe, certains des éléments entrant dans la composition de l'ap pareil que montrent les précédentes fil-'ures, Les fig. 15 et16 montrent schématiqw- ment, respectivement en coupe verticale longi tudinale et en plan, la seconde forme d'exécu tion;
Comme moyen distributeur l'appareil comporte au lieu du robinetN que montrent plus particulièrement les fig. 1. 1.3 et 14, nn robinet6 que montrent plus particulièrement les fig. là et17. La clé7 de ce robinet 6 comporte des lumières permettant, suivant la position donnéeà laditeclé, au liquide con tenu dans le réservoir Z et utilisé pour faire fonctionner l'appareil, d'être refoulé par la pompe dans la chambre X du cylindreA et au liquide contenu dans l'espace U existant entre ce cylindreÀ et le piston B d'évacuer cet espace et de faire retour au réservoir Z;
Hydraulic apparatus for jacks, pulley pullers and the like. The inventiod relates to a hydraulic apparatus for jacks, pulley pullers and the like, apparatus comprising a pump and a receiving device comprising a cylinder and a piston and a valve interposed between these two devices.
Its purpose is to allow these devices to better respond to the various desiderata of practice, and in particular-to be easier to operate than those designed so far. while being of great power.
Zn According to the invention, the pump is a piston pump driven by a reciprocating reciprocating movement obtained by transforming the reciprocating angular movement of an actuating lever.
The appended drawing represents, to by way of example, two embodiments of the object of the invention.
Figs.  1,  2 and  3  of this drawing show seliematically, respeetive.ment in longitudinal vertical section, seen in plan and seen at the end  of  #, removed from its adive part, a # I! established according to the first embodiment; Fig. 4 shows a plan view of one of the elements entering into the constitution of the aforesaid apparatus;
Figs.  5  and  6  show respectively in cross section according to  1-1  and 2-2 fig.  1  the same apparatus, Figs.  7 to  14 also show schematically in elevation or in section, some of the elements entering into the composition of the apparatus as shown by the previous threads, Figs.  15  and  16  show schematically, respectively in longitudinal vertical section and in plan, the second embodiment;
figs. 17 and 18 show schematically, seen from the side and seen from the front in elevation, details of the apparatus shown in fig. 15 and 16.
The apparatus represented by FIGS. 1 to 4 can be used as a cylinder or as a pulley puller. À is a cylinder, in which a piston B is housed, comprising on its internal face a boss B ,, and on its external face a cavity B ..
The seal between cylinder A and udder B is ensured by a seal C made of a relatively elastic metal or alloy such as brass. This seal is preferably given the form clearly shown in FIG. 1. A 0 cable gland is held in place by a g of ring preferably in bronze. This g ring is also used for guiding the udder B.
The pump intended to., to move the piston B in the cylinder A has three pistons P ', P', P ', capable of moving respectively in three cylinders R ', R', R ', of different diameters, the diameter of the pistons P' and cylinder R 'being greater than those of the pistons P 'and cylinder R' and the diameter of the pistons P 'and cylinder R' being greater than that of the pistons p2 and cylin dre B '. These three pistons P ', P', P 'are obtained by turning a rod P. The three cylinders B', B ' and B ' being formed by the respective drillings of three rings blocked in a part K with using a nut 111.
The rod P has, at a point of its length, thread elements P ' with fast pitch. This rod P is established so to present at its end opposite to that comprising the pistons P ', P2, P' a cone allowing < B> y block a lever L, thanks to a nut h.
This rod P is screwed into a corresponding thread E ' provided in a boss that has a bottom E closing the end of a cylinder A' </ B > fixed on the rear part of the cylinder A.
The boss of the bottom E is fitted with a cable gland held in place by a nut D.
On this bottom E are arranged two stops 1 ', 12 limiting the angular movement of the screw L.
In a borehole made in the axis of the rod P and reigning almost over the entire length of this rod, another rod T is housed. This rod T is of such length that its end reaches into the piston P ' . This rod T is pierced with two channels which can coincide respectively with the slots Ï \ and P made respectively in the cylinders R2 and B '. </ B > The T rod is held in place in the P rod, thanks to a S nut.
Thanks to a pin i, to the outer end of the rod T, is locked a knurled operating button j.
Both on this button j and on the hub of the lever L are established marks making it possible to bring the rod T exactly into the positions it must occupy in order to activate the pistons P ', P' </ I > when you want it.
In the bottom of the cylinder À is formed a radial channel f having its origin in the axis of said cylinder and emerging towards the periphery of the latter.
In the wall of the cylinder A is made a channel f \ originating at la. periphery of cylinder -4, at, proximity to the point where d4- plugs the aforesaid channel f and emerging at inside the cylinder A near the cable gland 0 that it has.
Also in the bottom of the cylinder A is a channel f'.3 (fig. 4) having its origin on the internal face of the bottom of the cylinder A </ I > and emerging at the periphery of it at proximity and at the same distance, from the aforesaid channel f , that channel f ".
In the axis of said channel f is placed a valve whose key (fig. 1 and 13) pivots on a kind of bushel b. The key N of this robi net is provided with a light / \ having the appearance of an inverted V. and a substantially semi-circular groove Y. As shown in the drawing, this key N </ has been given to this key N </ I> and to this bushel b a cylindrical-conical shape. The b bushel is held in place on the A cylinder by a in. nut. The wrench N is held in the b bushel, .race has a screwed d nut on this one.
In order to make it possible to block this nut d and hence the key N, this nut d is fitted with a lever W_ The key N of the faucet is provided with a small lever ii fixed to it by a screw e. The A body is provided at its front part with two removable arms W. These arms are made in two parts and are held in place on the body A by a conical ring V.
The cylinder A ', constituting the reservoir Z of the liquid used to operate the device in question, is provided with a cap provided with an air inlet valve r.
To operate the device in question as a cylinder, for example, that is to say to advance (exit) the piston B of the cylinder A: The valve is released N , if it is already there, the knob n is placed on the indication ,, before ”carried by a plate provided on the device.
The valve is reblocked N. Depending on the load to move to using the jack, by turning the knob j carried by the rod T, the lights f 'and f' (or Î2 or f ##) are put in communication, the light f ' always being, with the cylinder Z; the liquid can therefore enter the cylinders B ', R2 and R' or only B 'or only R' and B2.
The pump is activated by acting on the lever L, the liquid is expelled through the channel f, the light f of the tap N, the channel f ", in the chamber X formed by the free space left between the bottom of the piston B and the cylinder dre À by the boss B '.
If there is liquid in the annular space U existing between the cylinder A and the bead B, space between the seal C and the stuffing box o, this one is forced back as and to the progress of the piston by the pipe f ", the groove y, the channel < B> fi ', in cylinder Z.
The capacity of the reservoir Z (or the quantity of liquid that is y introduced) must be such that when the piston B has reached the front end of its stroke, the seal C </ B > has not gone beyond the channel f ", so as not to block the latter. We can obviously provide any stopper means placed in an appropriate manner, to obtain the same result.
To quickly reverse (retract) the piston B in the -cylinder A: Unlock the valve N, we put, if it does not is there already, the knob n on the indication, back ". On reblocks the valve N. The pump is activated by acting on lever L. The liquid is expelled through the channel f, the light f of the tap N. the channel f ", p # - enters the U space and pushes the piston back.
The liquid which is in the chamber X behind the piston is discharged through the channel f " (fig. 4). The groove y of the valve N, the f \ channel in the Z reservoir.
To operate the device as a pulley puller: The IV arm is fitted with a known device consisting of a kind of stirrup. Depending on the resistance of the pulley to arra cher, by turning the knob j and starting from the rod T, in addition to the piston P ', the piston P2 is put into service or the pistons P2 and P '.
The recess B 'made. in the front end of piston B is intended to receive, when the device is used as a pulley puller, the end of the shaft on which this pulley is fixed, which makes it possible to avoid any deterioration of the center of this tree.
The invention is not limited, of course, to those of its applications, nor to those of the variants of its various parts more especially indicated, it also embraces all the variants, in particular that shown in FIGS. 15 to 18, which comprises a cylinder A, a piston B with bossa ' ce B' and cavity B ', a metal seal C, a ring g similar to those previously described.
The apparatus according to fig. 15 a 18 of which the cost of is significantly lower than that previously described , has as an active part, instead of three pistons stage4 # a single piston P, moving in a cy- linder H centered in a part G made solid from the bottom cylinder -1 by screwing, for example.
In the piston P is drilled iiii drilling J ' allowing the liquid to penetrate into the cylinder H; of course the piston P and the bottom of the cylinder H are each provided with a check valve arranged appropriately. This piston is actuated by - means of the push button 1 and we act on this louse, # - evening 1 to l 'using a lever 2 articulated at a point 2a on a part 3 placed to this effect on the bottom E of the cylinder -A ' serving as Z to liquid tank.
We act on the lever '-) to using a' lever to two branches 4 articulated on the part 3 at a point 4a of it. The lever 2 and to the branch of the lever 4 in contact with said lever 1 are given the respective shapes and relative dimensions shown in the drawing. And in order to bring the piston P to rear end of travel, a spring to is provided, bearing, on the one hand, against the bottom of the cylinder A < / B> and, on the other hand, on a washer fixed to the piston P.
As a distributor means, the apparatus comprises instead of the valve  N  which more particularly show in FIGS.  1.  1.3 and 14, a valve  6  shown more particularly in fig.  there  and  17.  The key  7  of this tap 6 includes lights allowing, depending on the position given  to  said  key,  to the liquid contained in reservoir Z and used to operate the device, to be delivered by the pump into chamber X of cylinder  A  and to the liquid contained in the space U existing between this cylinder  À  and the piston B to evacuate this space and return to the reservoir Z;
or the liquid contained in the reservoir Z to be delivered by the pump into the space U and the liquid contained in the chamber X to evacuate this chamber and to return to the reservoir Z, this thanks to the channels a ', V, c 'and the lights corresponding to these channels, as well as to the. light h 'of the key of the said tap.
The part 3 is mounted on a kind of plate 8 comprising a part 8a covering the bottom E of the cylinder < B> A '. In the periphery of the bottom E is made a groove 8b in which can move a pin integral with the plate 8. < / B>
At a point on the periphery of this plate 8 is placed a screw 8d for -blocking said plate on this false bottom E. This arrangement allows, as can easily be understood, to orient the control of the pump without moving the apparatus. And in order to allow the stroke of the single piston J to be varied, the part 3 is mounted on the plate 8 in a slide to dovetail, which makes it possible to modify the contact point of pusher 1 on lever 2 and thus to vary the stroke of piston 5. </ B>
Advantageously, the slide of the 8 plate is provided with a key, 8th (fig. 16) for locking of room 3.
