Description

  

  Verfahren zur Darstellung eines     1i        üpenfar        bstoffes.       Im Hauptpatent Nr. 139808 ist ein Ver  fahren zur Herstellung eines wertvollen     Kü-          penfarbstoffes    beschrieben, dadurch gekenn  zeichnet, dass man 1     Mol.    des durch direkte       Bromierung    von     2.2'-Dibenzanthronyl    er  haltenen     Tetrabrom    - 2 . 2' -     dibenzanthronyls     mit 2     Mol.        1-Aminoanthrachinon    erhitzt.  



  Es wurde nun gefunden,     da.ss    man eben  falls einen ähnlich wertvollen     Küpenfarb-          stoff    erhält, wenn man 1     Mol.    des durch di  rekte     Bromierung    von 2 .     2'-Dibenzanthronyl     erhaltenen     Tetrabrom-2.        2'-dibenzanthronyls     mit 2     Mol.        1-Amino-4-methoxyanthrachinon,     zweckmässig in Gegenwart von säurebinden  den Mitteln und Metallverbindungen, zum  Beispiel Kupferverbindungen, erhitzt.  



  Der neue Farbstoff löst sich in konzen  trierter Schwefelsäure mit blauvioletter  Farbe und gibt mit Natronlauge und     Hydro-          sulfit    eine blauviolette     Küpe,    aus der die  Faser in sehr echten und schönen, blau  schwarzen Tönen gefärbt wird.

      <I>Beispiel:</I>  10 Teile     Tetrabrom-2.        2'-dibenzanthrony        i     werden mit 6,4 Teilen     1-Amino-4-methoxy-          anthrachinon,    2 Teilen     calcinierter    Soda und       0,3    Teilen Kupferoxyd in 150 Teilen Nitro  benzol so lange gekocht, bis kein unverän  dertes Ausgangsmaterial mehr     nachzuweisen     ist. Man lässt auf zirka 60 bis 80   abkühlen,  saugt ab und wäscht wie üblich mit Nitro  benzol nach.

  It has now been found that a similarly valuable vat dye is obtained if 1 mole of the substance obtained by direct bromination of 2. 2'-dibenzanthronyl obtained tetrabromo-2. 2'-dibenzanthronyls with 2 mol. 1-Amino-4-methoxyanthraquinone, expediently heated in the presence of acid-binding agents and metal compounds, for example copper compounds.



  The new dye dissolves in concentrated sulfuric acid with a blue-violet color and, with caustic soda and hydrosulfite, gives a blue-violet vat from which the fibers are colored in very real and beautiful blue-black tones.

      <I> Example: </I> 10 parts of Tetrabrom-2. 2'-dibenzanthrony i are boiled with 6.4 parts of 1-amino-4-methoxy-anthraquinone, 2 parts of calcined soda and 0.3 parts of copper oxide in 150 parts of nitro benzene until no unchanged starting material can be detected. It is allowed to cool to about 60 to 80, filtered off with suction and washed with nitrobenzene as usual.

PATENT CLAIM: Process for the preparation of a valuable vat dye, characterized in that 1 mol of the tetrabromo obtained by direct bromination of 2.2'-dibenzanthronyl - 2. 2 '- dibenzanthronyls heated with 2 mol. 1-Amino-4-methoxyanthraquinone.
