Description
Verfahren zur Darstellung eines liüpenfarbstoffes. Im Hauptpatent ist ein Verfahren zur Darstellung eines wertvollen Küpenfarbstoffes beschrieben, bei dem 1'-Anthrachinonyl-6; aminobenzanthron mit alkalischen Mitteln behandelt wird.
Es wurde nun gefunden, dass man einen ähnlich wertvollen Küpenfarbstoff von hervor ragenden Echtheitseigenschaften erhalten kann, wenn man ein Kondensationsprodukt von der Formel

worin R ein organischer Rest, zum Beispiel eine Alkyl-, Aryl-, Aralkyl- oder Cycloalkyl- gruppe sein kann, mit alkalischen Mitteln, insbesondere alkoholischen Alkalien behandelt. Der an Sauerstoff gebundene Rest R der Formel tritt nicht mit in das Endprodukt ein.
Der neue Farbstoff gibt mit Natronlauge und Hydrosulfit eine graublaue Küpe, aus der die pflanzliche Faser in sehr echten, blau stichig schwarzen Tönen gefärbt wird. Der Farbstoff löst sich in konzentrierter Schwefel säure mit rein grüner Farbe.
Beispiel: 10 Teile des Kondensationsproduktes aus 6-Halogen-Bzl-phenoxybenzanthron (erhältlich zum Beispiel durch Erhitzen von 6-Halogen- Bzl-brom-benzanthron mit Phenol, Kalium carbonat und Kupferoxyd) mit 1-Aminoan- thrachinon werden mit 40 Teilen Aetzkali und 25-30 Teilen Alkohol solange bei<B>170-</B> <B>1800</B> verschmolzen, bis die Farbstoffbildung beendet ist, worauf die Schmelze in der üb lichen Weise aufgearbeitet wird.

It has now been found that a similarly valuable vat dye with excellent fastness properties can be obtained if a condensation product of the formula

where R can be an organic radical, for example an alkyl, aryl, aralkyl or cycloalkyl group, treated with alkaline agents, in particular alcoholic alkalis. The oxygen-bonded radical R of the formula does not enter the end product.
With caustic soda and hydrosulfite, the new dye gives a gray-blue vat from which the vegetable fibers are dyed in very real, blue-black tones. The dye dissolves in concentrated sulfuric acid with a pure green color.
Example: 10 parts of the condensation product of 6-halo-Bzl-phenoxybenzanthrone (obtainable for example by heating 6-halo-Bzl-bromobenzanthrone with phenol, potassium carbonate and copper oxide) with 1-aminoanthrachinone with 40 parts caustic potash and 25-30 parts of alcohol are melted at <B> 170- </B> <B> 1800 </B> until the dye formation has ended, whereupon the melt is worked up in the usual way.
