  Zusatzpatent zum Hauptpatent     Nr.   <B>120525.</B>    Verfahren zur Darstellung eines     stichstoffhaltigen        Küpenfarbstoffes     der     Benzanthronreihe.       In dem Hauptpatent     Nr.   <B>120525</B> ist ein  Verfahren zur Darstellung eines     Küpenfarb-          stoffes    beschrieben, bei dem     a-Anthrachinonyl-          amino-Bzl.Bzl'-benzanthi,onylstilfid    mit einem  alkalischen Kondensationsmittel, insbesondere  alkoholischem Alkali, behandelt wird.  



  Gegenstand dieses Zusatzpatentes ist ein  Verfahren zur Darstellung eines stickstoff  haltigen     Küpenfarbstoffes    der     Benzanthron-          reihe,    bei dem ein Kondensationsprodukt der  nachstehenden Formel-:

    worin R ein organischer Rest mit weniger  als<B>17</B>     Kohlenstoffatomen    ist, mit alkalischen  Mitteln, insbesondere alkoholischem Alkali,  behandelt wird. Der an Schwefel gebundene  organische R der Formel tritt nicht mit in  das Endprodukt ein.  



  Der neue Farbstoff gibt mit Natronlauge       und        Hydrosulfit    eine blaue     Küpe,    aus der  die pflanzliche Faser in echten dunkelblauen  Tönen gefärbt wird, die die bemerkenswerte  Eigenschaft zeigen, beim Befeuchten mit  Wasser nicht nach rot umzuschlagen.  



  <I>Beispiel:</I>  <B>10</B> Teile     7(a-Antbrachinoilyl)-amino-Bzl-          thioki,esyl-benzanthron    (erhältlich zum Bei  spiel durch Kondensation von     7-Halogen-Bzl-          thiokresylbenzanthron    mit     a-Aminoanthrachi-          non)    werden mit 40 Teilen     Kaliumhydroxyd     und<B>25-30</B> Teilen Alkohol solange bei  <B>170-1800</B> verschmolzen, bis die     Farbstoff-          bildung    beendet ist. Nach dem Aufarbeiten  der Schmelze in der üblichen Weise, kann  der erhaltene Farbstoff durch Auskochen mit      hochsiedenden Lösungsmitteln, wie z. B. Ani  lin oder Nitrobenzol, noch gereinigt werden.
