Da-us la. variante représentée fig.
Central screw press control device. The present invention relates to. a central screw press control device. This device is characterized in that it comprises a steering wheel operating lever, which actuates a screw without; end in engagement with a helical wheel controlling the press by means of a central screw engaged in a nut.
The appended drawing represents, by way of example, some embodiments of the device according to the invention: FIG. 1 shows in elevation a first embodiment; Fig. 2 is a plan; Fig. 3 is a side elevation; Fig. 4 shows in elevation, partly in section, a variant of this device; Fig. 5 is a side elevation; Fig. 6 shows in elevation an application of the mechanical control device to established presses with rotating screw actuated under the apron, this control being independent of the press.
Fig. 7 shows in elevation an overhead wall control device in which the central screw is frozen, while the nut is movable on this screw; The fi. 8 is a plan corresponding to FIG. 7; "La, Fig. 9 shows in elevation the same device with application of an electric motor; Fig. 10 is a plan corresponding to Fig. 9; Fig. 11 shows an alternative embodiment from the front. of the clamping device shown in Fig. 1;
Fig. 12 is a side view.
Fig. 13 shows from the side another embodiment of this device; "Fig. 14 shows from the front a device operated simply by hand.
The press shown in Figs. 1 to 3, has a flywheel a mounted on a horizontal control shaft b. This flywheel has radial handles a 'at its periphery as well as a sleeve a \ intended to receive an operating key lever a maintained by means of a pressure screw c.
The same flywheel a is fitted with a pawl d engaged on a ratchet e keyed on the control shaft b mounted in the bearings f.
The y axis of the pawl d, on the side of the overhang, rests in a yoke 7r, mounted loose on said shaft b.
On the control shaft b is keyed a pinion i meshing with a toothed wheel j keyed on one of the two journals k of a worm 7c 'engaged in the sinets f.
The worm k 'rotates by means of a helical wheel i a nut in engaged on the fixed axial screw n of the pres evening.
This nut m and the helical wheel 1 are mounted idle on the support o of the control device and of the compressor plate p.
For tightening to. the. hand of the press, we communicate to the lever a3 an os cillation movement so that the pawl d rotates]. 'shaft b, pinion i, wheel j, worm 7c', la, helical wheel 1 and the nut m.
The reduction produced by the intermediary of the gears i, j is further increased by 'la, worm k' and la, helical wheel 1 and allows a man to turn the tightening nut in very easily. on the fixed axial screw n of the press.
For the mechanical manmu.vre of the evening pres, is fitted on the lever a3 a yoke g provided with a connecting rod r connecting this lever to a crank plate s receiving its movement <1 using a transmission t.
Removal of the yoke q allows this press to operate. the hand. In there. variant shown in fig. 4 and 5, the reduction devices are the same as above. but the constitutive parts of this device are arranged in the lower part, under the apron zc of the evening. Moreover, in this variant, the. helical wheel 1 is fixed on the. screw n. of the press, screw which is movable in its nut în., the latter not turning.
It should be noted that thanks to the reduction. by gears and to. The multiplication by worm screw and helical wheel, all that is required is an oscillating movement printed on the control lever or at the. hand, or mechanically to operate the press.
In the variant shown in, FIG. 6 this is a control device comprising a clutch or coupling 1, the engagement of which is adjusted by a res out 2 and two clamping nuts 7. This ac coupling is produced by two sleeves 3, 4 having teeth and cooperating notches.
The teeth of this coupling have a flank 5 established along the generatrix of the sleeves and another flank 6 inclined at approximately .150.
The inclined sides 6 correspond to the clamping of the press while the straight parts correspond to the loosening.
It follows from this arrangement that ob holds an automatic disengagement by sliding the teeth on one another and compressing the spring 2 when the resistance is sufficient, for example when the pressu- ra @, # e is; maximum compared to the setting.
The noise of the teeth rubbing against each other under the action of the spring 2 warns that the operation is finished, but this friction can never cause the breakage of any mechanical part.
He is at. note also that if the resistance decreases on the press as a result of the juice flowing, the clutch automatically re-engages until complete pressing.
A belt 8 passing over a pulley 9 integral with the coupling and over a louse 10 so'lida'ire of the press 11 ensures the transmission of movement to! gears 12 of the drive device described above hidden in FIG. 6 by the. pulley 1 0 as well as. the. worm 13 rotating the. helical wheel 14 and the, screw 15 of the press, as it is also said previously.
The drive is effected by a dc = transmission belt 16 passing over a pulley 17 integral with the shaft 18 and over a pulley 19 integral with the coupling.
Another crossed transmission belt 20 and a clutch device 21 make it possible to loosen the press. In this case, the rectilinear parts 5 of the teeth of the coupling 1 are engaged.
This clutch device could also be integral with the press.
It is understood that a motor could be coupled directly to the shaft 22 of the coupling device 1; in this case, the belt drives 16 and 20 are deleted.
The device shown in fig. 7 and 8 is aerial and all the control is placed on the piece of the press called sheep 23.
This control is actuated by an articulated wall transmission to lend itself to the movements of the helical wheel 14 forming a nut, which, by its muitée and cente, describes -à. the transmission 24. 25 lin arc of a circle 26. The transmission 24. 25 controls a pinion 27 actuating a wheel 28 and this pinion 27 connected to. the pulley 24 by two rods 29 never leaves contact with the wheel 28.
A coupling 3, 4, 2, like the one shown in fig. 6, allows the pressure to be adjusted while making the clutch automatic.
The wheel 28 Lst mounted loose on the ends, adjacent to two coaxial shafts 30 and 31f1 and can be coupled, with each of them by couplings not shown which can be actuated at the. hand. The shaft 30 carries a crank plate 32 actuating, via the connecting rod r and the operating lever a3, the ratchet drive device 36 of the press described above. The 30 'shaft carries a pinion to. chain 31 connected by a chain 34 to another pinion 31 'wedged on the shaft 35 carrying the worm 13 meshing with the helical wheel 14 forming a nut on the press screw 15 :.
This example of execution allows the press to be controlled in three ways, to see it: control to. ratchet by hand lever a3 ratchet control by wheel 28, shaft 300, crank plate 32, la. my level r and the hand lever a3 and controlled by the wheel 28, the shaft 30 ', the pinions 31, 311, the chain 34 and the shaft 35.
The device shown in fig. 9 and 10 is controlled by an electric motor 38 placed directly on the sheep 23 and thereby eliminating any external transmission.
The movement taken on the motor 38 is transmitted directly to the shaft 30 carrying the worm '37 meshing with the helical wheel 40. The rest of this device is the same as in the previous example.
Figs. 11, 12 show a clamping device in which the screw of the press 15, which is fixed, passes through the compressor plate 23 called "sheep" to receive its nut 11. disposed on this plate as well as the entire mechanism.
This assembly comprises an electric motor 42, actuating, by means of a belt 43, a pulley 44 mounted with a coupling on an upper horizontal shaft 45 capable of rotating in net cushions established in the frame.
The upper shaft 45 carries, in a fixed manner, a pinion 46 controlling a toothed wheel 47 integral with an intermediate shaft 4! 8 passing through the frame to receive a pinion 4y.
This last pinion 49, driven mad or fixed on its shaft 48, controls, in the latter case, a toothed wheel 50 fixed to one of the journals of a worm 51 actuating a helical toothed wheel 52 secured to the nut 41 engaged on the fixed central screw 15 of the press.
The intermediate shaft 48 also comprises a toothed wheel 53 mounted loose on its shaft but capable of being made integral with the latter. This wheel 53 meshes with a toothed wheel 54 carried by the journal of the worm 51.
These last two wheels 53, 54 make it possible to walk at high speed. The pinion 49 and the toothed wheel 53 are idle on the intermediate shaft 48. A clutch sleeve 55 can. slide on shaft 48, but not turn on it. It can be moved using a lever 56 capable of pivoting at 57.
The receiving pulley 44 is provided with a spring coupling 58 which makes it integral with its shaft 45 as long as the resistance of the compressor plate 23 is less than the retaining power of the spring 58, but which disengages automatically when this resistance becomes too big.
This resistance can be varied as desired by compressing the spring 58 more or less by means of an adjusting nut 59. If, however., The resistance decreases on the press, due to the flow of the juice. the clutch automatically re-engages until complete pressing.
The apparatus is fitted with a device (not shown) which cuts off the current when the operation is completed.
The reduction obtained by the gear trains and the worm makes this apparatus capable of being actuated by means of little force, even at high speed.
Walking is reversible, by reversing the current to obtain the ascent of the slack. In this case, we can engage it. great speed.
The device can be operated at. by hand using the ace lever of the flywheel 60 fixed on the shaft 48.
The so-called sleepers:, loads of the press' \ can be connected to a ram 23 on which the motor is established, so that then everything would descend and rise in one single block.
The electric motor 42 or the like can be attached to the. load as above, or placed outside; the. strength can also be borrowed from. a transmission whatever. In fig. 13, of the drawing, we have shown an embodiment comprising a power take-off on a wall transmission.
In this case, this transmission is linked: to. the apparatus by means of two large parallel horizontal arms 61 forming between height gauges and two small vertical parallel arms 62 capable of being moved in one direction and the other depending on the position of the sheep.
These arms, on the side of the apparatus, are crossed by an upper shaft 63 carrying two pulleys 64, one by a direct belt 65, the other for a crossed belt.
The shaft 63 also carries a pinion 66 meshing with a toothed wheel 67 carried by a lower shaft 68.
The lower shaft 68 serves as a pivot point for the two small arms 62 and receives a small pulley 69.
During the pivoting of the small arms 6 \? around shaft 68, pinion 66 rolls on. toothed wheel 67.
The belt 70 passing over the small pulley 69 passes over a large pulley 71, the shaft 45 of which has the same function as the shaft 4) in FIG. 11.
An endless screw 51 is also placed under the shaft 48, and the pro-length journal of this screw bears the same meshes as in FIGS. 11 and 12 of the drawing.
The endless screw 51 engages with a helical wheel 52 integral with the nut 41 engaged on the central screw 15 of the press.
A handwheel is also provided on the intermediate shaft 48.
In fig. 14 of the drawing, there is shown a hand clamping device provided with the two speeds and the clutch device shown fi ". 11 and 12.
