Treuil.
Winch. The object of the invention is a winch.
It comprises, like other known winches, a motor member, as well as a drum which is set in motion by the motor member with a view to raising the load and on which is wound a flexible member connected to this one. But it is distinguished from it by: a planetary speed reduction gear, which is connected to the drum, is set in motion with a view to raising the load by the motor member and of which the planetary toothed member is mounted on a rotating part provided with a brake, making it possible, depending on whether it is tight or not, to actuate the drum with a view to lifting the load or letting it stand still, a device being able to connect directly from the point of view rotation of the rotating part to the drum without passing through the planar gear,
with a view to lowering the load.
The appended drawing represents, by way of example, an embodiment of the winch according to the invention. Fig. 1 is an axial vertical section thereof; Fig. 2 is a cross section passing through the line II II of FIG. 1. This embodiment comprises a motor shaft 1 which constitutes the motor member mentioned in the introduction and which rests in bearings 2, 3 of a frame 4; it is provided with two pulleys 5, 6, one idle, the other driving, set in motion by means of a belt by a motor not shown.
On the shaft 1 can freely rotate a drum 7 receiving the flexible member for moving the load such as cable, rope; it has an internal toothed ring 8, with which a toothed wheel 9 engages; the axis 10 thereof is idle and is carried by two flanges 11, 12 integral with one another, which can themselves also rotate freely on the shaft 1; between the two flanges 11, 12 there is a pinion 13 keyed to 1 and able to put the drum 7 in rotation by means of the ring gear "8, the wheel 9 and the pinion 13 which together form a speed reducer planetary gear.
The flanges 11, 12 can be immobilized by means of a brake band 14 acting on the periphery of the flange 12 and actuated by means of a brake lever 15.
Pawls 16 are carried by the flange 11 and cooperate with an internal serrated tooth 17 of the drum 7 to prevent a backward rotation of the latter independently of the flanges 11, 12.
The operation of the embodiment described is as follows: The motor, not shown, rotates, via the fixed pulley 6, the shaft 1 which in turn rotates the wheel 9. If the brake tape 14 is loosened, the rotation of the wheel 9 simply rotates the flanges 11, 12, while the drum 7 remains stationary. In the contrary case where the tape 14 is tight, the rotation of the wheel 9 forces the drum 7 to rotate and to raise the load.
When the rotation of the toothed wheel 9 under the action of the motor ceases, the pawls 16 prevent a rearward rotation of the drum 7 under the action of the load, provided that the brake band 14 immobilizes the flanges 11, 12.
To let the load go down, it suffices to loosen this brake band 14 to a greater or lesser extent. In this case, the drum is directly coupled to the flanges 11, 12 by the pawls 16, which eliminates the rotation of the wheel 9 around it. of its own geometrical axis.
This embodiment has several advantages: It is not possible to raise the load if the brake is not sufficiently applied; there is automatic braking as soon as the upward movement ceases; as the inspection of the drawing shows, the brake supports a greater force during the raising of the load than during the lowering of the latter; it is thus automatically tested each time the load is raised; during the descent, the drum 7 and the pin 13 rotate at the same speed as the flanges 11, 12; the shaft 1, the drum 7, the pinion 13, the flanges 11, 12 are coaxial, which simplifies the. mechanism.
