Process for the preparation of 4.5.4'.5'-tetramethyl-6.6'-dichlorothioindigo. The present invention relates to a method for representing the 4th 5th 4 '. 5'-tetramethyl-6. 6'-dichlorothioindigos, which is characterized in that 4,5-dimethyl-6-chloroxythionaphthene is oxidized.
Example: 40 parts by weight of 3,4-dimethyl-5-chlorophenyl-1-thioglycol-2-carboxylic acid nitrile who brought the solution with 1250 parts of water, 20 parts by weight of sodium hydroxide solution and 5 parts by weight of sodium sulphide. When the solution is complete, a further 180 parts by weight of sodium hydroxide solution are added and the mixture is stirred at 80 to 85 for two hours. The excretion of the sodium salt of 3-amino-1-thionaphthen-2-carboxylic acid begins as soon as it is heated, which is almost complete after the addition of 100 parts by weight of sodium chloride.
After suctioning off and washing with saline solution, the moist paste is dissolved in 20 times the amount of water with the addition of a little sodium hydroxide solution and bisulfite, filtered, the filtrate acidified with dilute hydrochloric acid and heated on the water bath until the oxythionaphtha formation has ended. After cooling, the oxythionaphthene is filtered off with suction and washed.
To convert it into the dye, dissolve 20 parts by weight of oxythionaphthene in 50 parts by weight of fuel and 115 parts by weight of 40 Be sodium hydroxide solution, pour the solution into a solution of 100 parts by weight of copper sulfate in 1000 parts of water, heated to 70, gradually with stirring, and heat several parts Hours a vigorous stream of air through the liquid. When the formation of the dye has ended, 80 parts by weight of sulfuric acid of 66 Be are added and the mixture is heated for a few hours, again with air being blown through.
The dye is filtered off with suction and washed until it reacts neutral.
The 4th 5th 4 '. 5'-tetramethyl-6. 6'-dichlorobithionaphthene indigo forms a red-violet powder that dissolves in hot, concentrated sulfuric acid with a green color. It dissolves in a golden-yellow color when vat and produces very clear blue-tinged red shades on cotton, more yellow than that of the dye used in the main godfather's process, which are characterized by exceptionally good fastness properties.
The starting body can be obtained by adding hydrochloric acid 1. Subjects 2-dimethyl-3-aminobenzene to the reactions described in German patent writings 360 690 and 364 822 and the 2-amino-3,4-dimethyl-5-chloro-1-thioglycolic acid obtained in this way via the diazo compound into the 2 -Cyan-3. 4-dimethyl-5-chloro-1-thioglycolic acid transferred.
