  Zusatzpatent zum     Hauptpatent    Nr. 180692.    Verfahren zur Darstellung eines     Azofarbstoffes.       Es wurde gefunden, dass man einen neuen       Azofarbstoff    von wertvollen Eigenschaften er  hält, wenn man dianotiertes     5-Nitro-2-amino-          1-phenol    mit     3-Methyl-l-rnono-dioxypropyl-          aminobenzol,    wie es erhalten werden kann  durch Kondensation von     m-Toluidin    mit     a-          Chlordioxypropan,    vereinigt.  



  Der neue     Farbstoff    ist ein in Wasser un  lösliches, dunkelrotes Pulver, das in Aceton  mit roter und in konzentrierter Schwefelsäure  mit braungelber     Farbe    löslich ist. Er färbt       Acetatseide    nach üblichem Verfahren auf  Grund seines guten Ziehvermögens und seiner  hervorragenden Löslichkeit in kräftigen roten  Tönen, die sich durch ihre grosse Reinheit  und Schönheit auszeichnen. Die Färbungen  zeigen gute Echtheitseigenschaften und sind  rein weiss     ätzbar.    Das neue Produkt ist auch  ein gutes Färbemittel für Lacke.

      <I>Beispiel:</I>    15,4 Teile     5-Nitro-2-amino-l-phenol    werden  mit 300 Teilen Wasser vermahlen; die er  haltene Suspension wird mit 25 Teilen kon  zentrierter Salzsäure und 7 Teilen     Natrium-          uitrit    dianotiert und die so bereitete Diazo-         lösung    mit einer Lösung von 18,1 Teilen 3       Methyl-1-    mono -     dioxypropylaminobenzol    in  verdünnter Salzsäure vereinigt. Der nach  längerem Rühren ausgeschiedene Farbstoff  wird filtriert und gewaschen.

PATENTANSPRUCH: Verfahren zur Darstellung eines neuen Azofarbstoffes, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass man dianotiertes 5-Nitro-2-amino.l-phenol mit 3-Metliyl-l-mono-dioxypropylami n ob enzol, wie es erhalten werden kann durch Kondensation von m-Toluidin mit a-Chlordioxypropan, ver einigt. Der neue Farbstoff ist ein in Wasser unlösliches, dunkelrotes Pulver, das in Aceton mit roter und in konzentrierter Schwefelsäure mit braungelber Farbe löslich ist.
