  Verfahren zur Darstellung eines     Ringketons.       Gegenstand dieses Patentes ist ein Ver  fahren zur Darstellung eines     Ringketons    von  nachstehender Formel:

    welches dadurch gekennzeichnet ist, dass man       P-Chlorbuttersäure    mit Benzol und Alumi  niumchlorid auf höhere Temperatur erhitzt.  



  Das Produkt soll zur Herstellung von       Farbstoffen    Verwendung finden.  



       Beispiel:     Eine Lösung von 61 Gewichtsteilen       ss-Chlorbuttersäure    in 390 Gewichtsteilen Ben  zol wird unter Rühren mit 134 Gewichts  teilen gepulvertem Aluminiumchlorid langsam  versetzt. Man steigert allmählich die Tem  peratur bis zum Siedepunkt des Benzols und  hält sie einige Stunden. Die Aufarbeitung    kann so geschehen, dass man nach dem Ver  setzen mit Eis und Salzsäure das Reaktions  gemisch einer     Wasserdampfdestillation    unter  wirft, wobei anfangs hauptsächlich nur das  Benzol übergeht, später das flüssige     Ringketon     vom Siedepunkt     255     und nachstehender  Formel
