    welches dadurch gekennzeichnet ist, dass  man     ss-Chlorbuttersäure,        m-Xylol    und     Alu-          rrri.niumchlorid    bei höherer     Temperatur    auf  einander einwirken lässt. Das Produkt soll  zur Herstellung von Farbstoffen Verwendung  finden.  



  <I>Beispiel:</I>       Eine    Lösung von 61 Gewichtsteilen     ss-          Chlorbuttersäure    in 390 Gewichtsteilen     m-          Xylöl    wird unter Rühren mit 134     Gewichts-          l:eilen        gepulvertem    Aluminiumchlorid allmäh  lich versetzt. Man steigert die Temperatur  bis auf 100   und darüber und hält sie  einige Stunden. Hierauf giesst man auf Eis    und destilliert mit Wasserdampf. Anfangs  geht nur     m-Xylol    über, später das     Ringketon     nachstehender Formel:

Das Ringketon ist mit Wasser dämpfen flüchtig, ist flüssig und siedet bei ungefähr 250 . Das Produkt soll zur Herstellung von Farbstoffen Verwendung finden.
