      Verfahren    zur Herstellung eines     Anthracenderivates.       Es wurde gefunden, dass man ein neues       Anthracenderivat,    die 1,2 -     Anthracenmer-          kaptokarbonsäure,    erhält, wenn man die     1,2-          Anthrachinonmerkaptokarbonsäure    mit ge  eigneten Reduktionsmitteln behandelt. Die       1,2-Anthracenmerkaptokarbonsäure    bildet ein  gelbes Pulver, das in Soda mit gelber, in  konzentrierter Schwefelsäure mit olivgrüner  Farbe löslich ist. Sie wird zur Herstellung  von Farbstoffen verwendet.
