  Verfahren zur Herstellung eines     Anthracenderivates.       <B>Es</B> wurde gefunden, dass man ein neues       Anthracenderivat,    die     2,1-Anthracenthiogly-          kolkarbonsäure,    erhält, wenn man die     2,1-          Anthrachinonthioglykolkarbonsäure    mit ge  eigneten Reduktionsmitteln behandelt. Die       ?,1-Anthracenthioglykolkarbonsäure    bildet  ein hellgelbes Pulver, sie löst sich in Solo  lösung mit     bräunlichgelber,    in konzentrierter  Schwefelsäure mit blauroter, bald nach  braun umschlagender Farbe. Sie ist ein wert  volles Zwischenprodukt zur Herstellung von  Farbstoffen.

           Beispiel.:     25 Teile     Anthrachinon-2-thiogivkol-l-          karbonsäure    werden zusammen mit 120 Tei  len 24%igem Ammoniak, 230 Teilen Wasser  und 60 Teilen Zinkstaub unter gutem Rüh  ren einige Zeit auf<B>80-90'</B> erwärmt. Die    völlig entfärbte Lösung wird filtriert und  bei zirka<B>50'</B> mit Schwefelsäure ausgefällt.

The completely decolorized solution is filtered and precipitated with sulfuric acid at about <B> 50 '</B>.

PATENTANSPRUCH: Verfahren zur Herstellung eines neuen Anthracenderivates, der 2,1-Anthracenthio- glykolkarbonsäure, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass.man die 2,1-Anthrachinonthioglylkolkar- bonsäure mit geeigneten Reduktionsmitteln behandelt. Die 2,1-Anthracenthioglylkolkar- bonsäure bildet ein hellgelbes Pulver, sie löst sich in Sodalösung mit bräunlichgelber, in konzentrierter Schwefelsäure mit blauroter, bald nach braun umschlagender Farbe. Sie ist ein wertvolles Zwischenprodukt zur Her stellung von Farbstoffen.
