Description

  

  Verfahren zur Herstellung von     4-Dodecylanilin-3-sulfonsäure.       Gemäss dieser Erfindung erhält man die       4-Dodecylar)ilin-3-sulfonsärrre    durch Behand  lung von     p-Dodecylanilin    mit rauchender  Schwefelsäure.  



  Die Behandlung mit rauchender Schwefel  säure erfolgt zweckmässig durch vorheriges       Auflösen        des        p-Dodecylanilin        in        100%iger          Schwefelsäure,        worauf        die        rauchende,        20%     freies     Schwefeltrioxyd    enthaltende Schwefel  säure zur erhaltenen Lösung zugesetzt wird.  



  4 -     Dodecylanili    n - 3 -     sulfonsäure    ist eine  weisse, in Wasser wenig lösliche Substanz,  deren verdünnte Lösungen beim Schütteln  schäumen und deren konzentrierte Lösungen  beim Stehenlassen     Gelbildung    hervorrufen.  Sie stellt ein wertvolles     Farbstoffzwischen-          produkt    dar.  



  <I>Beispiel:</I>  20 Teile     p-Dodecylanilin    werden in 150       Teilen        100%iger-        Schwefelsäure        bei        10-150        C     aufgelöst.

   70 Teile rauchende Schwefelsäure       (20        %        freies        S03)        werden        nach        und        nach        zu-          gesetzt    und das Gemisch wird während einer       hälben    Stunde bei 10-15 0 C umgerührt, wor  auf es in ein Gemisch von Eis und Wasser    gegossen wird. Die erhaltene Fällung wird  filtriert, mit Wasser gewaschen und getrocknet.

   70 parts of fuming sulfuric acid (20% free SO3) are gradually added and the mixture is stirred for half an hour at 10-15 ° C., after which it is poured into a mixture of ice and water. The resulting precipitate is filtered, washed with water and dried.
