Beispiel <I>2</I> 10 Teile (einst verteiltes Monoamino-6,6'- dimethylviolanthron werden in 700 Teile 10 %iger Schwefelsäure eingetragen.
Beispiel <I>4:</I> 10 Teile (einst verteiltes, reines Mono- amino-6,6'-dimetliyl@,iolanthron werden in >00 Teilen Wasser suspendiert;
Process for the preparation of a pulp dye. It has been found that a new pulp dye is obtained if the monoamino-6,6'-dimethylviolanthrone, which is obtained by reducing the nitration product of 6,6'-dimethylviolanthrone, for example in solution or suspension, is obtained with treated with oxidizing agents.
The new dye forms a dark powder, dissolves in concentrated sulfuric acid with a blue-red color, and in hot nitrobenzene with a blue color, and with hydrosulphite and sodium hydroxide solution gives a blue vat from which cotton is dyed in real, especially chlorine-real, black tones.
<I> Example 1: </I> 10 parts of finely divided monoamino-6,6'-dimethylviolanthrone are suspended in 100 parts of 80% acetic acid and heated to about 95; 500 parts of a 2% strength aqueous chromic anhydride solution are now slowly run in at this temperature. When the inflow has ended, the above temperature is maintained for a further hour, then the dye is filtered off with suction, washed out and dried.
Example <I> 2 </I> 10 parts (once distributed monoamino-6,6'-dimethylviolanthrone are introduced into 700 parts of 10% sulfuric acid. The suspension is heated to 95; then a solution is slowly left at this temperature, Consisting of 20 parts of sodium chlorate in 300 parts of water, the above temperature is maintained for a few hours, then the dye is filtered off with suction, washed out and dried.
Example <I> 3: </I> 10 parts of pure (once distributed monoamino-6,6'-dimethyiviolanthrone are suspended in 100 parts of nitrobenzene and heated to about 95. The mixture is now passed with stirring at about 90 to < B> 100 '</B> in a slow stream 8 parts of nitrosyl chloride. The color of the dye suspension changes from green-black to black. After cooling, the reaction liquid is suctioned off, the residue with a little nitrobenzene, alcohol and finally thoroughly with boiling water washed and dried.
Example <I> 4: </I> 10 parts (once distributed, pure monoamino-6,6'-dimetliyl @, iolanthrone are suspended in> 00 parts of water;
100 parts of pure hydrochloric acid are added to this suspension and for this purpose a solution of 1-1 part of sodium nitrite in 1 part of water is allowed to run in slowly under the liquid level at a certain temperature with thorough stirring.
The mixture is left to stir for a few more hours at ordinary temperature, then blown out with air, the dye is removed and washed with finely boiling water and dry.
