Description
Verfahren zur Herstellung eines llüpenfarbstoffes. Es wurde gefunden, dass man einen wert vollen güpenfarbstoff erhält, wenn man a- Aminoanthrachinon mit einer Verbindung der Formel

kondensiert, worin X einen bei der Umsetzung sich abspaltenden Rest bedeutet.
Zur Herstellung des Farbstoffes kann man entweder a-Aminoanthrachinon mit dem Chlo rid der 2 - Oxy - 3 - methylbenzolcarbonsäure (zweckmässig in Gegenwart eines Verdünnungs mittels) behandeln, oder auf ein Gemisch von a-Aminoanthrachinon mitder 2-Oxy-3-methyl- benzolcarbonsäure in einem geeigneten Ver dünnungsmittel ein wasserentziehendes Mittel, z. B. Thionylchlorid oder Phosphoroxycblorid, einwirken lassen. Als Verdünnungsmittel kom- men z. B.
Nitrobenzol oder o-Dichlorbenzol in Betracht.
Der Farbstoff ist sehr leicht verküpbar und färbt Wolle in sehr klaren, gleichmässi gen, gelben Tönen, die sich durch hervor ragende Licht-, Dekatur- und Waschechtheit auszeichnen. <I>Beispiel:</I> 223 Teile a-Aminoantbrachinon und<B>170</B> Teile 2-Oxy-3-methylbenzol-l-carbonsäure werden in 4000 Teile technisches o-Dichlor- benzol eingetragen.
Dann lässt man bei 60 bis<B>700</B> C während etwa 2 Stunden 140 Teile Thionylchlorid zutropfen. Man erhitzt dann langsam zum Sieden und lässt nach etwa 2 Stunden erkalten, wobei der Farbstoff in gelben Nadeln auskristallisiert. Er wird ab filtriert, ausgewaschen und getrocknet. In konzentrierter Schwefelsäure löst er sich mit oranger Farbe; beim Eingiessen der Lösung in Wasser fällt er in Form hellgelber Flocken aus. Auf Wolle erhält man aus milde alkali scher güpe ein sehr klares, grünstichiges Gelb von hervorragender Dekatur-, Wasch- und Lichtechtheit.
