Description
Verfahren zur Darstellung eines neuen Küpenfarbstoffes der Perylenreihe. Es wurde die überraschende Beobachtung gemacht, dass ein neuer wertvoller Küpen- farbstoff der Perylenreihe erhalten wird, wenn man den nach dem Verfahren der Schwei zerischen Patentschrift Nr.
62137 erhältlichen Farbstoff (Oxydationsprodukt des Dibenzan- throns) in der Hitze zeit einem sauren Kon densationsmittel, wie zum Beispiel Aluminium chlorid, Chlorzink und so weiter behandelt und das entstandene neue Umwandiungs- produkt methyliert. Über die Zusammen setzung dieses neuen Farbstoffes kann zur Zeit noch nichts ausgesagt werden; er zeich net sich durch klare, schöne Nuance und Echtheit aus.
<I>Beispiel:</I> 10 Teile des nach Schweizerischem Patent Nr. 62137 erhältlichen Oxydationsproduktes von Dibenzanthron werden mit 50 Teilen wasserfreiem Chlorzink unter Rühren auf 310-320 erhitzt. Nach Beendigung der Reaktion wird die erkaltete, zerkleinerte Schmelze mit Wasser aufgekocht, abgesaugt und gewaschen. Die noch feuchte Paste wird sodann mit 300 Teilen Nitrobenzol, 15 Teilen Soda und 15 Teilen p-toluolsulfosäuremethyle- ster so lange auf 165 -170 erhitzt, bis die tiefblaue Lösung an Färbung nicht mehr zu nimmt, was nach ungefähr zwei Stunden der Fall ist.
Aus der heiss abgesaugten Lösung scheidet sich beim Erkalten das Reaktionspro dukt in blauvioletten Kristallen ab, die in trockenemZustandstarken Metallglanz besitzen und sich in konzentrierter Schwefelsäure mit weinroter Farbe auflösen.
Der neue Farbstoff färbt aus violetter Küpe Baumwolle violett. Beim Verhängen erhält man ein klares Blau.

At the moment nothing can be said about the composition of this new dye; it is characterized by clear, beautiful nuances and authenticity.
<I> Example: </I> 10 parts of the oxidation product of dibenzanthrone obtainable according to Swiss patent no. 62137 are heated to 310-320 with 50 parts of anhydrous zinc chloride while stirring. After the reaction has ended, the cooled, comminuted melt is boiled with water, filtered off with suction and washed. The still moist paste is then heated to 165-170 with 300 parts of nitrobenzene, 15 parts of soda and 15 parts of methyl p-toluenesulfonic acid until the deep blue solution no longer increases in color, which is the case after about two hours.
The reaction product separates out of the hot, suctioned solution as it cools in blue-violet crystals, which when dry have a strong metallic luster and dissolve in concentrated sulfuric acid with a wine-red color.
The new dye dyes cotton violet from the violet vat. When hanging, you get a clear blue.
