  Verfahren zur Darstellung eines     Nüpenfarbst.offes.       Es ist gefunden worden, dass man durch  Kondensation von     Perylen-3.4.9.10-tetra-          karbonsäure    mit     o-Toluidin    einen wertvollen       Küpenfarbstoff    erhält.  



  <I>Beispiel:</I>  392 Gewichtsteile     Perylentetrakarbonsäure-          anhydrid    werden mit etwa 3000 Gewichts  teilen     o-Toluidin    unter Rühren auf etwa<B>1850</B>  bis zum Verschwinden des     Perylentetrakar-          bonsäureanhydrides    erhitzt. Das Kondensa  tionsprodukt scheidet sich dabei kristallin ab.

    Anstatt dasselbe     abzufiltrieren,    kann man  den Farbstoff auch nach beendeter Konden  sation dadurch isolieren, dass man etwa ab  kühlen lässt und dann das Ganze in ver  dünnte Salzsäure drückt.     112an    saugt dann ab,  wäscht mit Wasser aus und zieht schliesslich    den Farbstoff zur Entfernung geringer     alka-          lilöslicher    Verunreinigungen mit verdünnter,  heisser     Alkalilauge    aus.  



  Der Farbstoff wird in roten Kristallen  in fast quantitativer Ausbeute erhalten. Die  Lösung in konzentrierter Schwefelsäure ist  violett. Aus der rotvioletten     Hydrosulfitküpe     wird Baumwolle in     Rosatönen    angefärbt.

The condensation product separates out in crystalline form.

    Instead of filtering off the same, the dye can also be isolated after condensation has ended, for example by letting it cool down and then pressing the whole thing into diluted hydrochloric acid. 112an then sucks off, washes out with water and finally pulls out the dye to remove minor alkali-soluble impurities with dilute, hot alkali.



  The dye is obtained in red crystals in almost quantitative yield. The solution in concentrated sulfuric acid is purple. Cotton is dyed in pink tones from the red-violet hydrosulfite vat.

PATENTANSPRUCH: Verfahren zur Darstellung eines Küpen- farbstoffes, dadurch gekennzeichnet,. dass man Perylentetrakarbonsäure mit o-Toluidin kon densiert, wobei man einen Farbstoff in roten Kristallen erhält, der von konzentrierter Schwefelsäure violett gelöst wird und der Baumwolle aus der rotvioletten Hydrosulfit- küpe in Rosatönen anfärbt.
