Description
Verfahren zur Darstellung eines Küpenfarbstoffes. Es ist gefunden -worden, dass man durch Kondensation von Perylen-3.4.9.10-tetra- carbonsäure mit p-Anisidin einen wertvollen Küpenfarbstoff erhält.
<I>Beispiel:</I> 392 Perylentetracarbon- säureanhydrid werden mit etwa 3000 Ge wichtsteilen p-Anisiclin unter Rühren auf etwa 200 erhitzt, bis das Perylentetra- carbonsäureanhydrid verschwunden ist. Man lässt dann auf etwa<B>70'</B> abkühlen, verdünnt mit Alkohol, filtriert, wäscht mit Alkohol und laugt den Farbstoff schliesslich mit heisser verdünnter Kalilauge aus. Er wird in Form von braunroten Kriställchen in fast quantitativer Ausbeute erhalten.
Seine Lösung in konzentrierter Schwefel- ,gäure erscheint in dicker Schicht violett, in dünner Schicht blau. Die Hydrosulfitküpe ist rotviolett gefärbt. Auf Baumwolle er hält man daraus kräftig rote Ausfärbungen.
Process for the preparation of a vat dye. It has been found that a valuable vat dye is obtained by condensing perylene-3.4.9.10-tetracarboxylic acid with p-anisidine.
<I> Example: </I> 392 perylenetetracarboxylic anhydride are heated with about 3000 parts by weight of p-anisicline to about 200 with stirring until the perylenetetracarboxylic anhydride has disappeared. It is then allowed to cool to about <B> 70 '</B>, diluted with alcohol, filtered, washed with alcohol and finally leached out the dye with hot, dilute potassium hydroxide solution. It is obtained in the form of brownish-red crystals in almost quantitative yield.
Its solution in concentrated sulfuric acid appears violet in a thick layer and blue in a thin layer. The hydrosulfite vat is colored red-violet. On cotton, you get strong red stains from it.
