Description

  

      Verfahren    zur Darstellung eines     Itäpenfarbstoffes.       Es ist gefunden worden, dass man durch  Kondensation     voll        Perylen-3.4.9.10-tetra-          carbonsäitre    mit     m-Xylidin        (1-Amino-2.4-          dimethylbenzol)    einen wertvollen     Küpen-          farbstoff    erhält.  



       Beispiel:     392     Geurichtsteile        Perylentetracarbon-          säureanhy        drid    werden mit etwa 3000 Ge  wichtsteilen     m-Xylidin    unter Rühren auf  etwa 190   bis zum Verschwinden des     Pe-          rylentetracarbonsäureanhydrids    erhitzt. Man  lässt dann auf etwa<B>70'</B> abkühlen, rührt  etwa 3000 Gewichtsteile Alkohol ein und  filtriert. Der zurückbleibende     Farbstoff    wird  mit Alkohol gewaschen und dann mit heisser  verdünnter     Alkalilauge    extrahiert.  



  Er bildet rote     Kriställchen,    die sich in    konzentrierter Schwefelsäure     mit    violetter  Farbe lösen und aus rotvioletter     Hydrosulfit-          kUpe    auf Baumwolle rote Nuancen erzeugen.



      Process for the preparation of an itapene dye. It has been found that a valuable vat dye is obtained by condensation of full perylene-3.4.9.10-tetracarboxylic acid with m-xylidine (1-amino-2,4-dimethylbenzene).



       Example: 392 parts by weight of perylenetetracarboxylic acid anhydride are heated with about 3000 parts by weight of m-xylidine with stirring to about 190 until the perylenetetracarboxylic acid anhydride has disappeared. It is then allowed to cool to about 70 ', about 3000 parts by weight of alcohol are stirred in and filtered. The remaining dye is washed with alcohol and then extracted with hot, dilute alkali lye.



  It forms red crystals that dissolve in concentrated sulfuric acid with a violet color and turn red-violet hydrosulphite cap onto cotton to create red nuances.

PATENTANSPRUCH: Verfahren zur Darstellung eines Küpen- farbstoffes, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass man Perylentetracarbonsäure mit m-Xylidin (1-Amino-2.4-dimethylbenzol) kondensiert, wobei man einen Farbstoff in roten Kriställ- chen erhält, der in konzentrierter Schwefel säure violett löslich ist -und aus rotvioletter Hydrosulfitküpe auf Baumwolle eine rote Ausfärbung hervorbringt. PATENT CLAIM: Process for the preparation of a vat dye, characterized in that perylenetetracarboxylic acid is condensed with m-xylidine (1-amino-2,4-dimethylbenzene), a dye being obtained in red crystals which is violet-soluble in concentrated sulfuric acid -and produces a red color from the red-violet hydrosulfite vat on cotton.
