Description
Verfahren zur Darstellung von Perylen-3-carbonsäure. Gegenstand dieses Zusatzpatentes ist ein Verfahren zur Darstellung der Perylen-3- carbonsäure, welches dadurch gekennzeichnet ist, dass man Perylen-3 . 4-dicarbonsäureimid in alkalischer Lösung auf höhere Temperatur erhitzt.
Die noch unbekannte Perylen-3-carbon- säure soll als Zwischenprodukt für die Her stellung von Farbstoffen Verwendung fin den.
Beispiel 100 Teile des Perylen-3. 4-dicar#bonsäure- imids werden mit 5000 Teilen einer 0,8 %igen Kalilauge 25 Stunden auf 260 erhitzt.
Nach dem Erkalten wird abgesaugt, der Rück- µitand nochmals mit verdünnter Lauge aus g e 'kocht und die alkalischen Lösungen ange- ZD säuert, wodurch die Perylen-.3-carbonsäure ausgefällt wird.
Die Perylen-3-carbonsäure ist orange ge färbt. Sie bildet schwer lösliche, gelbe Al- kalisalze, deren gelbe, wässerige Lösung blau grün fluoresziert. Aus Nitrobenzol lässt sie sich umkristallisieren. Man erhält sie so in orangebraunen N ädelchen, die über 300 schmelzen. Niedrig siedende Lösungsmittel nehmen nur schwer mit grüner Fluoreszenz auf. Die Lösung in konzentrierter Schwefel säure ist violett mit roter Fluoreszenz.

It can be recrystallized from nitrobenzene. They are obtained in orange-brown needles that melt over 300. Low-boiling solvents are difficult to pick up with green fluorescence. The solution in concentrated sulfuric acid is purple with red fluorescence.
