Process for the preparation of a clip dye of the anthraquinone series. In the main patent, a process for the preparation of a vat dye of the anthrachinone series is described, which is characterized in that one is based on the condensation of 1 mol. 4-Amino-1.
2-anthraquinone akridon with 1 mole. 1-benzoylamirro-5-chloro-anthraquinone obtainable dianthraquinonylamine derivative allows sulfuric acid to act and the condensation product thus obtained is oxidized.
It has now been found that a vat dye of the anthraquinone series can be produced by reacting to the dianthraquinonylamine of the formula:
EMI0001.0019
allows a condensation agent to act at a lower temperature and oxidizes the condensation product thus obtainable. The conversion of the dianthraquinonyl amine into the carbazole can, in addition to sulfuric acid, also be carried out with other suitable condensing agents, such as
B. chlorosulphonic acid, which also acts as an oxidizing agent, or aluminum chloride / table salt mixture etc. can be carried out at relatively low temperatures.
Example 1: 10 parts by weight of the dianthraquinonyl amine derivative, which according to Switzerland. Patent 134030 by condensation of 1 Moi. Trichloroanthraquinone acridone (D. R. P. 258561, Example 4) can be obtained with 1 mol. 1-Benzoylamino-5-aminoanthraquinone are dissolved in 1.00 parts by weight of concentrated sulfuric acid. The initially yellow-brown solution quickly turns a brown olive color at ordinary temperature.
Stirring in water produces a dark green precipitate which, when a suitable oxidizing agent such as sodium nitrite or a sodium hypochlorite solution is added, turns dark olive-brown. It is heated to about 701) and a dye is obtained that dissolves in concentrated sulfuric acid in a deep blue color and dyes cotton in real black-brown shades, while the starting material, as a powder, gives a greenish gray color.
Example 2 1 mol. Of the amino compound obtainable according to DRP 254096, Example 1, by reducing the nitrated dichloro-anthraquinone acridone is mixed with 1 mol. 1-benzoylamino-5-chloroanthraquinone in the customary manner by heating in A high-boiling solvent in the presence of anhydrous sodium acetate and small amounts of a copper salt condensed to the dianthraquinonylamine derivative.
In order to convert this into the carbazole, it is stirred into 15 parts by weight of chlorosulfonic acid at room temperature. A deep blue solution very soon forms, from which a dark olive-brown precipitate is formed when poured into water. The dye thus obtained is identical to that of Example 1.
The same vat dye can also be obtained if the carbazole ring closure is carried out with other acidic condensing agents, e.g. B. by means of an aluminum chloride melt or by means of aluminum chloride-pyridine.
