Fi-. 1 est une vue de cet appareil de net toyage prêt à l'emploi, Fig. 2, une vue du même appareil pen dant la torsion du torchon, Fig. 3, une vue de détail à plus grande échelle -du coulisseau se déplaçant sur le manche, Fig. 4, une vue de détail de l'extrémité inférieure de l'appareil; Fig. 5, 6 et 7 sont trois variantes d'exé- cution;
Fsg. 8 est une vue d'ensemble -de l'ap pareil montrant en pointillés le torchon dans sa position de travail, Fig. 9, une vue en coupe de la partie inférieure de l'appareil, Fig: 10, une variante -de la fig. 9, Fig. 11, une vue .de -dessus du tube re présenté en fig. 10, Fig. 12, une vue de dessous de la ron- -d.elle d'arrêt de la fig. 10, Fig. 14, une variante -du mode de fixa tion de la tête protectrice;
Cleaning device. The present invention relates to a cleaning apparatus, comprising a handle provided with a slide and a cloth, the whole being arranged so that the longitudinal movement of the slide on said handle produces a twisting of the cloth.
The drawing shows, by way of example, one embodiment of this device. And variants.
Fi-. 1 is a view of this ready-to-use cleaning apparatus, FIG. 2, a view of the same apparatus during the twisting of the cloth, FIG. 3, a detail view on a larger scale - of the slide moving on the handle, FIG. 4, a detail view of the lower end of the apparatus; Fig. 5, 6 and 7 are three variant executions;
Figs. 8 to 16 relate to the method of attaching the cloth to the appliance in order to be able to replace it with ease while allowing it to dry and to the removable elastic device intended to protect the parquet floors against any scratching; .
Fsg. 8 is an overall view of the apparatus showing the dotted line of the cloth in its working position, FIG. 9, a sectional view of the lower part of the apparatus, Fig: 10, a variant of Fig. 9, Fig. 11, a top view of the tube shown in FIG. 10, Fig. 12, a view from below of the stopper -d.elle of FIG. 10, Fig. 14, a variant -du mode of fixing the protective head;
Fig. 15 and 16 show two methods of attaching the cloth to the sliding sleeve. The apparatus shown comprises a handle 1 with a handle 2, part of which consists of a tube with a perforated wall 3, the cross section of which is square, and which is twisted on itself so as to form a very long pitch thread. At the end of the tube 3 is fixed a sleeve 4 (fig. 4) of suitable shape, and having a part 4 'of flexible material (leather, rubber, etc.) intended to come into contact with the ground and preventing damage. this during use of the appliance. The sleeve 4 is fixed to the tube 3 by means of a pin 5, the ends of which protrude from the outer wall of the sleeve.
By this arrangement, one end of the cloth 6 being attached to the sleeve 4, the projecting ends of the pin 5 penetrate into the cloth and prevent it from rotating on the sleeve during the twisting.
On the tube 3 can move a slider 7 (fig. 1, 2 and 3) carrying a ring 8 on which is fixed the other end of the cloth 6 and having an internal thread 8 'corresponding to the thread of the tube 3. in such a way that the ring 8 cannot move longitudinally on the tube 3 without being driven in a rotational movement relative to the latter. The ring 8 is carried by the slide 7 by the intermediary of a ball bearing 9 in any suitable manner, allowing the rotation of one of the two elements 7, 8 with respect to the other.
By this arrangement, it is easy to understand that the movement of the slide 7 on the tube 3 in order to bring it from the. position of fig. 1. in the position of fig. 2 will result in automatically twisting the torch 6 on the perforated tube 3 and thus expressing the liquid absorbed by the cloth.
In the variant shown partially in FIG. 5, the ring 8 is integral with the slider 7, but the handle 1 can turn freely in a sleeve 10 placed in a suitable place of said handle so that to operate the twist of the tor chon 6 it is necessary to grasp a hand the device by the slider 7 and the other by the sleeve 10. By then raising the slider 7 on the tube 3, the torsion will take place automatically by the rotation of the handle 1 and of the tube 3 in relation to it. to slide 7, 8.
Fig. 6 shows a fragment of tube 3, applying to a variant in which the tube 3 is provided with a helical groove 11 in which one or two pins 12 carried by the ring 8. In this form of execution, the rotation of the ring 8 relative to the tube 3 is operated by -the pins: 12 which, laws of longitudinal displacement of the. ring 8, are obliged to follow the lic # licoï @ dale groove 17.
In the variant shown in wire. â, handle 1 can turn freely in, handle 2.
It goes (IL- it goes without saying that the mode of execution can be varied without departing from the principle of the invention which consists in automatically twisting the cloth by longitudinal displacement of the slide on the handle.
In fig. 8 and 9, the device comprises a flexible head formed by a washer of suitable shape 13, for example in rubber, crossed by a small threaded tube 14 intended to fix the. flexible head on the device by screwing the tube 11 into the threaded end 15 of the tube 3 on which the twisting of the cloth 6 takes place.
The flexible head 13 could also be fixed on the tube 3 by screwing the tube 14 on the tube 3 as shown in FIG. 13.
The end of the cloth to be attached to the lower part of the tube 3 is first tightened and attached to the tube at the movi, ii of a link 23, and then returned as shown in fi-. 9. The torelion is prevented from turning on tube 3 by a pin 16.
To retain the cloth 6, it is also possible to replace the pin 16 using the device shown in. fig. 10 and cons tituted by a washer. points 17, with two attractive shoulders 1.8 which are placed in grooves 19 made in the end of tube 3 (fig. 10, 11 and 12).
The other end of the cloth 6 can be attached to the sliding sleeve 7 as shown in fig. 14 where the cloth is clamped between the sleeve 7 and a part 20 which is screwed into said sleeve.
After tightening, the two parts 7 and 20 can be immobilized with respect to one another, in order to prevent unscrewing. By this arrangement, to remove the cloth it suffices to detach it from the sleeve 7 and remove the head 13 by unscrewing it.
In addition, as the lower end of the cloth is folded inwards as shown in, fig. 9, when twisting, good drying of the entire cloth can be obtained.
