Scie. L'objet de la présente invention est une scie; elle comporte une monture munie d'un dispositif établi pour être placé sur le sol et recevoir les pieds de la personne qui s'en sert pour qu'elle puisse maintenir la scie au moyen des pieds et avoir ainsi les deux mains libres.
Le dessin annexé représente, à titre d'exemple seulement, une forme d'exécution de l'objet de l'invention.
La fig. 1 en est une vue latérale; La fig. 2 en est une coupe selon la ligne A-A de la fig. 1; La fig. 3 montre comment on se sert de la scie.
La scie selon ces figures comporte une monture a, en bois par exemple, en forme de double T dont l'extrémité de la branche al opposée à la lame de scie b est plus rappro chée de l'extrémité correspondante de la bran che a2 que ne l'est l'autre extrémité de la branche a1 de l'extrémité correspondante de la branche a2 pour faciliter l'introduction de la monture a entre les jambes de celui qui se sert de la scie. Entre les unes des extrémités libres des branches a1 a2 de cette monture est montée la lame de scie b qui y est fixée par des vis b1 b2 et entre les autres des extrémi tés libres de ces branches de la monture est montée une tige c métallique qui sert à ten dre la lame b.
Cette tige est fixée, par l'une de ses extrémités, à la branche al et son autre extrémité est filetée et passe au travers d'un orifice prévu à l'extrémité correspondante de la branche a2. Sur cette extrémité filetée de la tige métallique c se visse un écrou à ailette d qui prend appui sur une rondelle e. Sous la traction exercée sur la tige c, la monture cède un peu, ce qui suffit pour permettre de tendre la lame b.
L'extrémité de la branche d, sur laquelle la lame b de la scie est fixée, est munie d'un dispositif établi pour être placé sur le sol et recevoir les pieds de la personne qui se sert de la scie. Ce dispositif comporte un organe métallique f, replié en U et fixé sur la bran che a2 au moyen de vis g et présentant deux ailes f1 f2 horizontales qui prennent appui sur le sol et sur lesquelles la personne qui se sert de la scie, pose les pieds pour la main tenir en position de travail. Cette même extré mité de la branche â de la monture de la scie est munie encore d'une plaque h, en plan de forme sensiblement semi-circulaire, et recour bée vers l'avant et qui a pour objet d'empê cher la sciure de tomber sur les pieds posés sur les ailes f1 f2 de l'organe métallique f.
Cette extrémité de la branche a2 est renforcée, ainsi qu'on peut le voir à la fig. 1, en vue d'augmenter la surface de la partie reposant sur le sol et pour permettre aussi une meil leure fixation de l'organe f à ladite extrémité de la branche a2.
La fig. d du dessin montre de quelle fa çon on se sert de la scie.
La tige métallique c pourrait être rempla cée par une corde, un câble métallique tendu entre les extrémités des branches a1 a2 ou par tout autre moyen de tension que celui repré senté au dessin. L'inclinaison des branches a1 a2 de la monture a pourrait différer de celle qui est représentée au dessin.

The saw according to these figures comprises a frame a, in wood for example, in the shape of a double T, the end of the branch a1 opposite to the saw blade b is closer to the corresponding end of the branch a2 than is the other end of the branch a1 of the corresponding end of the branch a2 to facilitate the introduction of the frame a between the legs of the one who uses the saw. Between one of the free ends of the branches a1 a2 of this frame is mounted the saw blade b which is fixed thereto by screws b1 b2 and between the other free ends of these branches of the frame is mounted a metal rod c which serves to hold the blade b.
This rod is fixed, by one of its ends, to the branch a1 and its other end is threaded and passes through an orifice provided at the corresponding end of the branch a2. A wing nut d is screwed onto this threaded end of the metal rod c which bears on a washer e. Under the traction exerted on the rod c, the frame gives way a little, which is enough to allow the blade b to be stretched.
The end of the branch d, to which the saw blade b is attached, is provided with a device established to be placed on the ground and to receive the feet of the person using the saw. This device comprises a metal member f, folded in a U and fixed to the branch a2 by means of screws g and having two horizontal wings f1 f2 which rest on the ground and on which the person using the saw, places the hand feet hold in working position. This same end of the branch â of the saw frame is also provided with a plate h, in plan of substantially semicircular shape, and curved forward and which has the object of preventing sawdust. to fall on the feet placed on the wings f1 f2 of the metallic organ f.
This end of the branch a2 is reinforced, as can be seen in FIG. 1, with a view to increasing the surface area of the part resting on the ground and also to allow a better fixing of the organ f to said end of the branch a2.
Fig. d of the drawing shows how the saw is used.
The metal rod c could be replaced by a cord, a metal cable stretched between the ends of the branches a1 a2 or by any other means of tension than that shown in the drawing. The inclination of the branches a1 a2 of the frame a could differ from that shown in the drawing.
