Teilen 1,4-Nitrophenolnatrium in 100 Teilen 1Vasser eingerührt.
Process for the preparation of a new intermediate product in the tar color industry: It has been found that a new intermediate product, the tertiary condensation product of one mole of cyanuric chloride with one mole of 1,4-aminophenol and two moles of diethyla.min, is obtained by using one mole of cyanuric chloride in any order one mole of 1,
4-nitrophenol and two moles of diethylamine can act and the condensation product thus obtained is reduced.
This condensation is carried out by stirring the components together in a suitable diluent, and it has been found that water is, surprisingly, very suitable as such. The tertiary condensation product of one mole of cyanuric chloride with one mole of 1,4 aminophenol and two hol. Diethylamine forms a light-colored powder, which when dissolved in alcohol, melts at 75 to <B> 76 '</B> and is easily soluble in dilute hydrochloric acid.
It contains a diazotizable amino group and no more reactive chlorine atom and is a valuable starting material for the production of dyes. <I> Example: </I> In a suspension of 18.5 parts of cyanogen chloride in 20 times the amount of water, the Cold. A solution of 16.7. Parts of sodium 1,4-nitrophenol in 100 parts of 1 water are stirred in. As soon as the alkaline reaction has disappeared, it is filtered and the filter residue is added to 100 parts of a 50% diethylamine solution.
The reaction mass heats up and is heated for about half an hour to end the reaction on the water bath. To isolate the reaction product, the whole thing is stirred in ice water and filtered. The tertiary condensation product obtained in this way from 1 xol. Cyanuric chloride, 1 mol. 1,4 nitrophenol and 2 mol. Diethylamine crystallized from alcohol, melts at <B> 107 '. </B>
100 parts of the product thus obtained are slowly introduced into a hot mixture of 500 parts of alcohol, 50 parts of iron files and 5 parts of acetic acid and cooked for some time on the reflux condenser.
The reaction liquid, freed of iron, evaporates, yields the tertiary condensation product of a Mo1. Cyanuric chloride, one mole of 1,4-aminophenol and two moles of dietbyl-a.min, which is recrystallized from alcohol.
