Abstract

MÉTODOS PARA O CONTROLE DE PRAGAS USANDO A RNAi. Mais especificadamente a um métodos para controlar a infestação de insetos através do silenciamento genético mediado por RNAi, onde as células intactas do inseto entram em contacto com o RNA de dupla fita a partir do exterior da(s) célula(s) do inseto e onde o RNA de dupla fita é absorvido pelas células intactas do inseto. Em uma configuração particular, os métodos da invenção são usados para aliviar as plantas das pragas de inseto. Alternativamente, os métodos são usados para tratar e/ou impedir a infestação de inseto no substrato ou para um sujeito que esteja necessitando do referido tratamento e/ou prevenção. São revelados os genes alvo apropriados de inseto e seus fragmentos, as construções do dsRNA e as construções e composições recombinantes.
