Abstract

PROCESSO PARA PRODUçãO DE ACETATO DE ETILA. Processo para produção de acetato de etila por reação de etileno com ácido acético e água na presença de um catalisador heteropoliácido, onde as concentrações dos reagentes na corrente de fornecimento ao reator são tais que a razão molar de etileno para ácido acético repousa na faixa de 6,0 para 12,2, a razão molar de etileno para água repousa na faixa de 8,0 para 17 e a razão molar de ácido acético para água repousa na faixa de 1,25 para 1,40. Foi verificado que, pelo controle cuidadoso da concentração relativa dos reagentes e das condições de operação do processo, quantidades relativas de metil etil cetona (MEK, 2-butanona) coproduzidas com o acetato de etila desejado podem ser reduzidas e a vida útil do atalisador pode ser estendida.
