Abstract

processo para preparar um ácido carboxílico alifático. preparação de um ácido carboxílico alifático tendo (n+l) átomos de carbono, onde n é um inteiro até 6, e/ou um éster ou anidrido do mesmo pode ser alcançado contactando um álcool alifático tendo n átomos de carbono ou um derivado reativo do mesmo com monóxido de carbono substancialmente na ausência dos halogênios ou seus derivados em uma temperatura na faixa de 250 a 600<198>c e uma pressão na faixa de 1 a 20 mpa, na presença de um catalisador consistindo essencialmente de mordenita a qual tem, como elementos estruturais, silício, alumínio e um ou mais de gálio, boro e ferro, e a qual tem sido trocada ionicamente ou senão carregada com cobre, níquel, irídio, ródio ou cobalto.
