Abstract

"PROCESSO PARA A PREPARAçãO DE (S)- OU (R)-4-HALO-3-HIDROXIBUTIRATOS". A presente invenção refere-se a um processo para a preparação de (S)- ou (R)-4-haio-3-hidroxibutiratos enantiomericamente puros de fórmula (i), em que R¬ 1¬ é CH~ 2~X, CHX~ 2~ OU CX~ 3~ e X independentemente representa CI e/ou Br e em que R¬ 2¬ é C~ 1~-6- alquila, C~ 3~-8-Cicloalquila, arila ou aralquila, cada arila ou aralquila sendo opcional e adicionalmente substituída por um ou mais grupos C~ 1~-4-alquila e/ou átomos de halogênio, por hidrogenação assimétrica de ésteres de ácido 4-haio-3-oxobutírico de fórmula (II), em que R¬ 1¬, R¬ 2¬ e X são como definidos acima na presença de um catalisador de um complexo de rutênio compreendendo um ligante quiral de fórmula (III).
