Abstract

"CATALISADOR PARA REDUZIR MONóXIDO DE CARBONO E óXIDO NìTRICO DA FUMAçA DE CORRENTE PRINCIPAL DE UM CIGARRO". A presente invenção refere-se a composições de material de enchimento cortado, cigarros, métodos para a produção de cigarros e métodos para fumar cigarros, que envolvem o uso de um catalisador capaz de converter monóxido de carbono em dióxido de carbono e/ou óxido nítrico em nitrogênio. Composições de material de enchimento cortado tendo pelo menos um catalisador. O catalisador compreende partículas de metal de nanoescala e/ou partículas de óxido de metal de nanoescala suportadas sobre um suporte fibroso. O catalisador pode ser preparado por combinação de uma dispersão de partículas de nanoescala com um suporte fibroso, ou por combinação de uma solução precursora de metal com um suporte fibroso e então tratamento térmico do suporte fibroso.
